Default Cleared out my Headlights finally.

One of my pet-peeves is ANY ORANGE in headlights. So I finally did it one night with pics of the process. Yes, I know this is and old thing to do, but I just like to share

The beginning

- I didn't have pics when I took part the headlights, cuz my hands and my brothers were busy pulling it part.
- Silcone FTW, no leaks or condensation for 1 month, it's even been out in the pooring rain the past weeks.
- I got chrome signal bulbs from ebay: seller: rjcalnan, very nice, fast service!
- LED's from superbrightleds.com $25 a bulb, (haven't bough the diffusers yet)
- You can buy the reflector in clear or smoked from http://www.ricks2k.com/products/350zdiffusers.php $55, fast and friendly
- Thx Eric ZDiRty, for the links and tips

I was going to make a DIY post, but I'm lazy, I'll just post the pics in that one that is up atm.
Thank you Laosifu: https://my350z.com/forum/body-interior-exterior-and-lighting-diy/37752-diy-black-housing.html for thje original DIY post instructions.

NO I will not do this for anyone else!!!!! took me 8 hrs by myself, but I will offer any help
"if you can build a gundam lvl4+, then u can do this to" lol

See you guys at the next meet!

Rob, that looks like a lot of work. Wow!
Great job on posting all of the step-by-step pictures.
I'm on the same boat as you, because I can't stand my orange reflectors.

The final results look awesome, specially on your black Z.
I can't wait to see it in person.

BTW, are you bringing your sweet ride to this Friday's meet?
If you decide to come down, dinner is on me.

well this meet, is just a gathering of local Z's and getting to know other Z drivers, and dinner, usually a cruise is during a day/afternoon meet, but i dont think there will be a cruise after the so.bay meet this friday. it's fun, i actually like to drive so, driving 30 mins is relaxing for me

without messing up the headlight or eyelids?

I had vinyl eyelids, so they are in the trash now =( I just reordered dual layer vinyl eyelids to replace them. (i perfer the vinyl, cheaper, and it's doesn't protrude out that much)

I don't know how it is with the removal of polyurethane/carbonfiber eyelids...

Here's the link to the vinyl im getting (A LOT of selections!)

My first eyelids were from carcustomz.com but they are not responding to any of my e-mails or orders =(

Oh, I don't have the vinyl. I bought mines from intensepower.com. If you had the same thing was wondering what the most efficient way to remove em was. I want to black out my headlights one day but scared to pull it off without tearing it up.

Great Job on the clearing out the reflectors & the write up
Your Z is becoming nicer & nicer each time I see it,
Now all you need is a little carbon fiber add-on's here & there & you'll be all set to go.
Good luck on the up and coming add-on's
By the way I'm always here if you need a hand but I'll pass on those purple latex gloves.

I was scared doing it too... the only two things i was worried about was
1. F***ing up my HIDS
2. Water getting in.

Purple gloves are from work and FREE!

And yes I can't wait for my new part to come in, I'm debating to paint it on the sides and leave the CF open in the middle
