Time for the 2nd East Bay meet of the season. I have done some research and found a few different places that will work for us. I think Berkeley is a good central location but as we found out from last week it can be very cold, and parking can be an issue. I found a place in Emeryville called East Ocean its a Chinese restaurant that also serves Dim Sum. They have a huge parking lot, and say they can always handle a large group. This place has a beautiful view of the bay as you are eatting, and a WARM inside spot we can all meet and hang out. I have found a few other places going north towards either Hercules, or Pinole. Hercules has a shopping center called Sycamore. There are quite a few places to eat and decent parking. The selection of food there includes Chinese, Round Table, Subway, Mcdonalds, BBQ etc etc. Pinole has a shopping center that has plenty of parking and across the street there is Outback Steakhouse, Applebees, Round Table, Carls Jr Etc etc. Going South we could head towards the Oakland Airport. There is a Walmart shopping center with plenty of parking, In and Out Burger, Panda Express, and Wings. Lets try and make this work so that we can have a huge turn out and not freze our butts off. I included a poll so I guess we will vote on a good location. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So far it looks like Oakland. Get your votes in guys. I think either Oakland or Emeryville are good options. Hopefully we can have a good turn out this week.

Yeah... It seems like the weather is going be better this week, but you never know. We dont have many options here in the bay area its always cold . Emeryville, Pinole, and Hercules would prob atleast have room for us to be in doors and sit and talk. Oakland has a few smaller places but most likely we would be outdoors. If anyone knows of a good spot that has plenty of parking, is warmer, and has good food please let me know.

 

Whatever wins the poll wins the poll. I will respect that. But Pinole has a huge lot for us and a lot of places to eat within a mile. Here are the places to eat that I can think of:
