Hey guys, I was looking into buying some rims but was a little confused with what sizes to go with. The ones i am looking at have these specs: 19x8.5 in the front (with 25mm offset) and 19x9.5 in the back(with 65mm offset). I know some people go with the 8.5/9.5 set up , but was kind of confused with a 65mm offset... that seems pretty odd. Anyways i was wondering if someone could give me some insight if this would fit well on a Z. (I have a 2008 350z if that means anything, pretty sure it doesn't)

IT WOULD FIT BUT LOOK REALLY HORRIBLE. YOUR OFFSET NEEDS TO BE IN THE LOW 20'S OR LESS TO GIVE IT A NICE AGGRESSIVE LOOK.

First thing, the offset you have just described is not the optimum offset designed for the Z. You would want to go 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 with +22 offset all around for semi aggresive look. Or, if u want to have an aggresive look, go with +12 all around. But you might have to either cut or roll your fenders. What type of look are you looking for?

 

I was looking for a semi aggressive look, but I do not want to roll out my fenders. What are the most aggressive specs i can go for without rolling?

 

My wheels are 19x8.5, 19x9.5 wth +42 mm offset and they look perfect. So I'd say you're safe aesthetically up to 42mm offset.

I would say 19x9.5 +28 w 245/35/19F & 19x10.5 +30 w 275/35/19R.
Will be pretty safe without rolling fenders or cutting fenders.
And if your planning on goineg 19x8.5F and 19x9.5R setup,
I would suggest 19x8.5 with +8 ~ +15 245/35/19F & 19x9.5 +10 ~ +22 275/35/19R.
Will be pretty safe without rolling fenders or cutting fenders.

Maybe if you want to have a stock look, then yes. But definitely not the semi aggressive look that the OP is looking for. It looks wayyyyyyy too tucked in.

 

I run 18x9.5 + 25 all the way around. I've staggered the tire sizes 245/40 in front and 275/40 in the rear. Next time i get tires tho imma run 275/35s all the way around.

 

My rims on the front cover of DSport magazine on a 350Z 3 months after I bought them disagree with most people too... but hey there's nothin wrong with being a trend setter

 

Sounds like a Porsche offset. +65 is WAY too much, and your (rear) wheels WILL hit the calipers. As others have said, shoot for the ~+20 range for a 9.5" width.

 

I have a brand new set of Enkei RPF1's for sale. Sizes are:

Front: 19x9.5
Offset: +22

Rear: 19x10
Offset: +22

These widths and offsets are perfect for a nice semi-aggressive stance. It will not require any fender modification at all. I'm also in San Jose.

 

I can vouch for jdmrwd's SSR rims will not disappoint you if you want rims.

Ya for sure, I will probably wait till i find the right rims with the perfect sizes.
