3rd Annual Plus 1 & ATS Garage Toy Drive
and Ernesto Jr formally of JDM Theory

Sunday November 16th, 2008

11am-3pm (early bird parking only to pre-registered crews = 10am)

(in case of rain, date will be moved to Nov 22nd)

It's that time of the year people and please come and support our efforts to make this holiday season a little more enjoyable to those less fortunate families and kids! We are holding a FREE meet in Union City (the eart of the Bay Area) and centralized for you north and south bay residents! Last year alone we collected over 400+ toys in just over 4 hours!

About 70% of the toys collected will be donated to Cesar Chavez Middle School toy Drive in their efforts to collect toys for the Union City Fire department City wide toy drive. The remaining 30% of toys will be donated to Shelter Netowrk (www.shelternetwork.org) which is where Ernesto Jr's used to be a Social Worker for the San Mateo homeless shelter for kids and teens.

We ask that you donate a new un-wrapped toy for a girl or boy ages 5-12 and valued at least $10 - Also, last 2 years we recieved a majority of "boy" toys and very little toys a girl would appreciate - We are trying to level our the variety so if you can please try to "mix" your donation(s) - Also, Gift Cards for older children will be helpful so they can choose a gift they would enjoy.

Come join the fun and let's get one LAST get-together before the year is over! Canopy Tents and chairs are encouraged! Food and Beverages will be available to buy as well!

Ed (sid67jp) and I are thinking about rolling in early and holding down the fort if they let us. If we all gather early and roll in together I'm sure we can park in a group. Plus getting there early will allow those that want to dust off and shine their Zs to do so.

 

If i'm not in Germany for Thanksgiving i'll be there... However I would like to help out if i'm not here... So if someone lives near me and is willing to pick up the toys from me i'll be happy to do that...

I'll let you know as the time gets gloser if i'm here or not...

Yes that was my thought too. I will contact a few people and see what everyone's thoughts are. I will get back to you...

 

Alright everyone I just got word that there is going to be a pretty good turn out for this event. I would say we might need to get there by 9 or 9:30 if we plan to park together. The event starts at 11 so basicly we can park and then hang out. Might try and pack some food, and drinks, and atleast chill for a few. Who all is going from North bay, berkeley, emeryville, Oaklnad, Vacaville etc? Maybe we could meet up here and then pick up others as we head to Union City. Lets get some real numbers going so we can plan as best as possible.

 

I cannot attend ill be in Long Beach for the Red Bull Drift Championships

Yeah sent an email hopefully I will hear back from them in regards to parking together. Worse case a few of us can get there early and try to hold down the fort. Hopefully I can have a count of how many members will be there by Friday.

So I just got word back that they will save us some spots right up front. They would like atleast a few of us to try and be there by 10. Let me know a total number by tomorrow Wednesday so that I can report back to them. At this point I just let him know the people that are signed up.

 

well anyone in fremont can meet up and roll there from my house.. its pretty easy place to find.. and we can roll up 1 exit..
