Yay..
so i have been selected as a mod for norcal...
just wanted to say hi all...
also i think there are a few things that we need to clean up in norcal..

one of them being the norcal shop directory.. i was going through the thread and noticed that quite a few of the shops have moved to so-cal.. so what i was thinking was unstickying that and create a new thread where we can add to it constantly..
the list was last updated back in 2005 btw..

If you have any suggesstions comments or concerns let me know..

I for one welcome our new overlord and master

+1 on the Directory thread. Loved the idea but it started getting counterintuitive after the OP post wasn't edited with the new info anymore. It started getting where following replies were updating info so the most current list would not be the first thing people see when they click the thread, it'd be somewhere near the end of the thread and not even exactly the last post so people had to dig. Thinking maybe you as a mod should start it off so you can edit your own initial post and keep the actual list right up top. It'd help a ton.

Perhaps norcal newbie introduction thread should be stickied? Otherwise it gets pushed away, and newbs never see it.. I know I didn't.

also does anyone have any reservations against unsticking all the meet threads?

ie.. all the Get togethers..

i know for one i have missed a few meets due to the fact that i don't always read those big looong threads.

so in the spirit of the forums... i believe that if you have a meet planned i will sticky it.. once the meet is completed i will unsticky within 24 hours. that way everyone can find the meet that best suits them... Let me know.. Thanks

That is an excellent plan. Oh yes, and would you sticky mine: It's 12/21/08 the Monterey Meet. That can be the first one.
Keeping the new meets at the top and the old meets disappear with time is a great idea, as we all look for the new meets.
