Default Oakland 4 fallen officers

This morning on my way to work on 880 North I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw a very powerful sight. It was a convoy of flashing lights, no sirens, and the speed was what seemed to be 45-50 mph. As I came to my exit I looked over my left shoulder and could not help but feel like as if this had hit close to home, and was overwhelmed with sadness.

My prayers go out to the fallen officers and their families & friends.

Funeral being held @ Oracle Arena, the home court of the Golden State Warriors (Oakland)

RIP: Mark Dunakin - John Hege - Ervin Romans - Daniel Sakai

(I really wish some rolling shots could have been taken)

I read an article where they had a rally to support the SHOOTER in Oakland the other day. Ridiculus.

Ditto on the prayers and Godspeed.

^ If they really had a rally for the shooter, I would be furious as to why people honor a convicted felon who had just killed 4 OPD officers. What has the world come to? My deepest condolences to the fallen officers and their families.....

^ Unfortunately we live in an age where what's right is wrong and what's wrong is right.

Prayers to the families and friends.

my heart goes out to the families of the police officers. Mark Dunakin is the brother in law of one of my coworkers. he has a wife and 3 young children. we have set up a donation fund for his family where my company will match donations dollar for dollar. if you would like to contribute, please let me know.

Sounds like a good cause & all but I would expect that OPD would be taking care of his family, right?

Post the info in here, Im sure it wouldn't hurt to post it up.

RIP officers...

Not surprised if they held a rally for the shooter... Oakland is getting really bad at this anti-cop thing.

This is a damn shame... I know one of the four Officers was in critical condition, I had no idea he had passed as well. RIP.

I feel for those officers and their families. My son's a detective for the local Sheriff's department and I know you worry about these types of things happening but hope they don't. But unfortunately they do sometimes happen.

So true... My brother is a motorcycle cop and its a jacked up feeling when the phone rings late at night or awkward times with a So-Cal number. I still remember the Hollywood Bank Robbery, my heart just dropped because I knew he was assighned to that area and he was on duty.
