I have been living in the bay area for only about 9-10 months. recently got a ppw 06 roadster and i am seeing a common thing on this fourm with cars being broken into and just totally being f**ked. just want to know more about the area and if anyone has stories. as where not to park or leave your car maybe a few pointers on things to look for other than just knowing your surrondings

 

Don't leave anything out in your car - some folks complain when they lose 100 CDs worth $15,000 because they've left their CD case out for the world to see. Some crack head will get a dollar a CD for the collection. I had a nut job break into my truck because I left the mount for my GPS sitting on the dash - the GPS was with me so it cost me the window and the idiot didn't get anything.

 

same thing with cd face plates, you know they take them of the cd player but keep them in the car...what good does that do and taking the gps mount off is good to leave nothing,my friend always has his cd case on his back seat of his sentra I tell him all the time you need to hide it.

 

The Fremont Hub sucks ***....

The cops don't even show up if you call them, even if the perps are still there breaking into other cars

 

I've had people break into my car and steal some used $9 books before and a bag of candy Imagine how that killed my social life... "cmon kiddies, Uncle Peter's got free candy in the van and some fun story books... wait wth... #$@!#!"

Definitely goes to show you that people will take ANYTHING of worth if you leave it exposed.

 

yea people will steal anything for the hell of it. my parents back east had a car that was stolen and burned the night it was stolen with eveything still in it!!
