Hi folks,

I am looking for a good shop to maintain my Z and help prepare it for some occasional HPDE. I unfortunately also need some body work done. I shipped my car by transport and it arrived this morning with some moderate front bumper damage. The transport company appears to be standing by their service and will pay for repairs, but I need a reputable shop to provide solid estimates and quality work. Any help would be appreciated.

well justin, welcome to monterey area we have alot of shops on the monterey/salinas area, there is one in salinas, that does work on a fellow member Z here (wschli1672) where he takes his car to get refreshed bodywork,im sure warren will chime intonite when he sees the thread, and again welcome to monterey look out for the carmel/pebble beach drive and the monthly meets we do in the area

"Joe Malone's Collision Repair, Inc." is the shop I do all my body work at. Including my paint, carbon fiber work, mods, etc.
"ZCargarage" is the place I do all the engine work at.
Both are excellent shops.
I have a lifetime warranty on the paint job. Joe's shop.
You get warranties with the engine work at Rob's shop.

Oh yes, the Carmel Valley/Pebble Beach run is Sept 19th this year, usually 100+ cars, so join in, as we meet at the MY Nissan in Salinas. (Oh, yes that's my annual run).

And if you're interested, I belong to the "ZONC" Z owners of Northern California. Lots of good things, we were on the track at Laguna Seca a couple of weeks ago for some lap runs, have plenty of shows, gatherings, picnics, etc.

And as Quinn above mentioned, he also gets us together on mini runs, and just good old getting together and meeting each other locally.

I really appreciate the welcome and the advice fellas. I will go see Joe based off your recommendation Warren. I also noticed ZCar Garage and ZONC while doing internet research. ZONC seems like a fun deal and I hope to get out to the next event, especially that Pebble Beach run. I'll call ZCar about getting a couple things done in preparation for some light HPDE.

When you talk with Joe, just tell him you know me, and the black 350Z he did the paint job, carbon fiber hood, and special mounted hood locks, spoiler etc.
As to Rob, just say you know me and I said hi, he's the man.
When Quinn puts a quck mini gathering on a Sunday, join us. He usually puts them on here, and the weather is looking good.
