Hey guys, anyone had any experience dealing the AMS Car Stereo located on stevens creek? I am going to have them install an Ipod connection kit for my 08 Z. I believe the guy told me he will install a USA SPEC part all together around $280.

I went to AMS stereo to install my Kappa components, sub/sub box, 5.1 amp and DVD player. They quoted me at 525$ which seemed pretty pricey in my book. Couple things..

1. They are notorious (on me and my homie's rides as well) for keeping your car late, past the appointment time. They were cool enough to Dynamat my doors/trunk for free, but they did inconvenience me by holding my car an extra day.

2. When my install was done, I noticed my cupholder was jutting out. They broke the spring! I told them about it, and they asked me if it was always like that.. uhh, definitely not. They fixed it after that but I was shocked that they were willing to let that slide. Not on my watch..

3. My cable was faulty so my ipod wouldnt play, and they didnt mention that to me. Really lame.

My honest assessment is that you should look elsewhere, due to the seemingly inconsistent service and not-so-cheap pricing. Hope this helps OP
