sadly there isnt there was DDay at golden gate fields parking lot but thats been stopped years ago, then there was Altamont Raceway in tracy near the highway 5 connector but that was stopped cause residents in the area said that it was all gang related activities and blah blah at the events so they closed those down

Lame... I want to burn these tires before I move to Virginia and store the Z too...

I went AutoX'ing today to try and learn some, but got shut down by the event staff.

Is there anything before the 15th locally that's popped up yet for drifting yet? Anyone know any people that own large factories w/ big open parking lots? I'll supply the cones! ><

Well I looked up Thunderdrift and it looks great if you are on the road course!! According to the web page there is drifting on the 13th and 14th of March but i think its only skidpad day on the 13th and the 14th is a Instructional Drift Program? is this just a school? and is it on the skid pad or on the track?

^I'm down to go with you, but am unsure if I'd have enough tires left to drive home on afterwards. Do you have a spare set of wheels I could borrow if I buy some tires for them?

james i am in the same boat as you are.. only have 1 set of tires..

also yes preregister on the site... and then pay the remainder on the day i believe.. or pay in full on site.

and from the looks of the course prob 2nd gear maybe third.. who knows. it is relatively safe environment

Im going out there too . . . my bro was the one that made that course layout . . . It is usually just a second gear track cause its a pretty small skidpad . . . They have a tiremounting machine there so you dont need to bring extra rims you can just bring extra tires . . . thats what im doing, im bringin 6 extra rear tires and just getting them mounted after I finish the previous pair . . . you guys interested in rolling up together?

Yup, that's my design. This course is perfect for cars with good power. You guys should have no problem taking this course on. I made it so that powerful cars could have fun and still be challenged while cars with less power (such as mine and most other 240s going out there) can still manage it. It'll definitely be fun and with less power it becomes more challenging.
