One of the best, at least in the top two best runs. Likewise peeps looked to be having a good time. It was a success.

Memories and stories:

1) The truck pulling the boat
2) The Lost Boys
3) Po po approaching group 2
4) Onboard rolling shots

Yes, it was a great run. Well organized. Curtis, Hal, and Lyent - thank you!

I had good view toward the end. Two GTR runing side by side.

Your brother must took some awesome rolling pics. Probably, even more so than feather river? Going to be keep checking this thread and feather river thread for his pics!

Jun, so glad you made it, we had written you and Connor off since no show for breakfast, and then bam....you both pull up along with Will during the drivers meeting.

My brother was driving the red 370Z, my copilot (Michael Mays) is a friend of ours who was just accepted to S.F. Art School for photography. Remember that name he will be famous some day.

He did get some awesome shots of the GT-R fronts rolling side by side, at least from what I could see from my rear view mirror. Wow ..I just realized (someone should have taken a pic) that I was in front of two side by side GT-R's. I have not seen any of his pix yet, but imagine that set of shots will be the most talked about.

Gonna be awhile since my new pix host Picasa does not let me enbed the image on ALL the forums. This forum it does, but I need a a host server that will act like photobucket. Maybe I will look into flickr again. So my Feather River and this run might be a little longer to post up. Keep checking back here.

Can't wait for the rolling shots...

And not to forget these:

10) Scraping thru hwy 128 from Berryessa to Lake Hennesy
11) The cost of bottled water in a small recreational boating town - Middletown.
12) Not knowing that we were riding all along with three ex popo's
13) No real salad bar at the casino buffet
14) How smooth hwy 16 was, like a rail thru the twisties
15) The Mach II turbine sound of the Speed Racer 280ZX
16) The camaraderie made that day
17) Rolling down the hwy in front of two side by side GT-R's.....priceless
18) "Blinded by the light" from some shiney exhaust tips
19) Capturing spy photos of two Japan only, right hand drive, test drive Nissan Hybrid Fuga's (in the U.S under badging of Infiniti M series)

^^HA good ones!!!

1) The truck pulling the boat.....Not even gonna ask why he showed up and stopped soon after Group 2 arrived at Dam. Hmmm Group 2 passing habits maybe

3) Po po approaching group 2.....We saw first. My 2-way was off. No one else in Group 1 pre-warned?

10) Scraping thru hwy 128 from Berryessa to Lake Hennesy.....That section was brutal. I bottomed out 'hard' on my front right. Even my wife said oh oh that didn't sound or feel good at all. Wheel lip survived so no harm no foul. Suspension...don't know yet and need to check.

18) "Blinded by the light" from some shiney exhaust tips.....Haha you should gone with darker tints and wear darker shades

I really liked hwy 16 as well. Very smooth and long turns. Also, on hwy 16th, I was right behind You and those two GTRs. That was great view as well.

06CPV35 thanks for the pics. Down loaded them to my i-phone.

1b) The truck pulling the boat..... The truck/boat pulled into the marina was not the same one that was pking along and would not pull over on turn outs on many opportunities. A true knuckle head. If he had pulled into the boat launch marina, he boat would not make it into the lake as I would see to it that it be overturned while on the trailer...haha. Which is also the cause to The Lost Boys. I group of us passed the truck/boat and the ones behind us did not see us again because they were stuck behind the truck/boat for a long time and when finally passed him, we were no were in sight. When that portion of the group (4 of them, I believe) came up to Lake Hennessey boat marina, they passed right by us on the curve and did not look over to see us parked at the boat launch area. I will go into what we learned from this run later. They went onto the next stop in Middletown (about 25 miles north) and waited for us.

3b) ) Po po approaching group 2..... 2 way radio and cel phone reception was nill on that hwy. Here is the story…I was leading up group 2 which by the way was the spirited group, yeh right ..why have the spirited group in the back….well so the cruising group # 1 would not get left behind so far and to deter any popo’s….haha. So we left 5-10 minutes behind group # 1 when we departed from Lake Berryessa. Fast forward ahead, we (some of us) had already passed the truck/boat and after a long run of no traffic I came upon a pokey Corolla, so I ran up their butt so there was no mistake to get the heck out of the way (my front grill of the 370Z has that intimidating look of GTFOOTW) so they quickly put on their blinker to pull over and their brakes, so I had to brake and then bam…mister popo coming the opposite direction, luckily I was down to 55 mph, but riding their butt, so if anything stuck out as a pull over was me tail gating the Corolla. He passed by and I radioed to the cars behind me to radio back if he was whipping a beotch. No such deal he went on, but my bro who was the tail gunner and way back there saw him hiding the bushes waiting for them, of course they were cruising at the rear within the speed limit. So that is how The Lost Boys got lost. My brother and his group made it in to Lake Hennesey. To sum it up group 2 was divided into 3 groups by the time we all arrived at Lake Hennessy and it was the middle group they kept driving on by the turn off at Lake Hennessy. Sry for the long winded, but this is the spun tale.

10b) I think we all were scraping, except the Evo said he was not. Me and the silver vette were scraping like the dickens, no damage as mine was the rubber spoiler that flexes and it's meant to scrape. I tell you though all the chit I had in the back hatch was all rearranged by the time it arrived at Lake Hennessy. What I thought was metal scraping was all the chit flying back and forth in the back hatch. I had a tripod and plastic fishing tackle box (for cleaning supplies) camera backpack, road trip food, water, gator aide. My brakes were glazed before this run from under braking and grand pa driving, but when I passed the truck / boat I was too happy and busy giving the buzzard finger that I came upon a sharp decreasing radius turn and did not slam the brakes but gradually pressed very hard and I think the ABS kicked in because the wheels shuttered, luckily I was still in a straight line, but hit the corner way to fast and thought wall, wall, crunch, crunch, brace for impact. I was lucky and glad I had great brakes. Another time and I sure everyone else fet the ripples in the left hand turn towards the end of the run before Lake Hennessy, there were so many ripples in the road the car just moved to the right, like some picked up the car or you hit some black ice. Several others mentioned the same when we got stopped at the lake.

18b) I should have gone with a double pair of shades, those tips burned a hole in my iris.

You cannot see my face but I had a 2 way radio in one ear and a cel phone in the other ear trying to contact The Lost Boys. I guess they were out Vamping…haha

Hwy 20 about ½ mile to the turn off onto Hwy 16. Our best photo stop of the Run. Noice pix.

Perfect timing as we were all drained from the heat and needed some A/C, liquids and food before our journeys home. Great pix John, thanks for sharing.

Hghway 20 where we said goodbye to the Silver Z33 Rdstr is where the long sweepers were, I liked them and we were lucky no popo's, but I think they were were still searching for The Lost Boys. We were still on Hwy 20 when we did the big photo shoot. Then turned 1/2 mile down onto hwy 16 and what a difference in road surface. At one point in the canyon the road was banked perfectly through about eight turns and the car felt and handled like it was on rails. Worth the trip in gold two times over.

I guess we had the best views of the GT-R's, me in front of them and you in back of them.

This run was longer which I think made the difference. Both runs were great, I think I liked this one alot better.

People have already been asking about "when will be your next run Curtis?" Three in one year can be draining, BUT I may just run another one, either an encore (with slightly different route) on the The Feather Riber Run or a coastal run. I know the bay area peeps would come out for the coastal run versus the Feather River. A possibility! I will pm ya when and if one happens.
