Default ThunderDrift Pro Am Championship Round 3

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's my pleasure to announce the 3rd round of ThunderDrift's 2010 Pro Am series!

The event will be held on Wednesday June 30th, at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows, Ca. Mandatory Drivers meeting starts promptly at 8:30AM, and drivers will hit the track for practice at 9:00.

This course features a steep downhill into the first initiation, then a technical transition into a long off-camber sweeper, and a downhill transfer into a legendary circle-track style finish. The end of the judging area may be adjusted based on how well cars are able to make the final transfer during practice.

If you haven't joined the points race yet, it may be too late to qualify for Pro Am Nationals, but it isn't too late to start practicing for next year's season!

Here's a link to rules, and tech requirements: http://thunderdrift.com/?page_id=490

and Here's where you register! http://thunderdrift.com/?page_id=11

Remember, all registrations must be complete 1 week or more before the event date. If you haven't drifted with us before, or you don't have your official number yet, please be sure to mention it when registering! Numbers are first-come first-served.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Just a reminder, the bodywork rule is in effect as of round 3! You MUST start the event with a hood, doors, and front/rear bumpers.

To lessen the blow of this news, I've included some cool videos of previous rounds you should take a moment to watch. They're pretty sweet!

Cool vid - I've never gone over 5 sideways like that! It seems like you're at a lot of events. Did you drag race that night I saw you at Sears a few Wednesdays ago?

Oh hey! No, I didn't end up running... the line was REALLY long and I had to get up early the next morning to do more tech for the historics. When my SR-AE86 is done, I'll probably go to Sac, Infineon, and Redding to try out drag racing for the first time, and to promote Thunderdrift! I'll see you out there!
