If its small enough group, just go to Stix like we did the first year.

 

I had thought about that, but the limit there is 30 people. I had brought in 60 that one time, and the management was not too happy about it. And I know there would be more than 30 easily but not near the 75 minimum, so I'm caught between the rock and a hard place. Then the other restaurant requires 75 minimum and I don't have enough for that one. I could do a Carmel Valley cruise and pick a new restaurant not on Pebble Beach, skip it altogether, but that's not the advertisement, and would get a lot of flak on that. I found a excellent spot in Monterey/Seaside, but too late for this now. Only option left is get enough sign ups or just cancel, which I need to make a fast decision on that too. Well, I'll be taking with management at the other restaurant tomorrow (Sat) and see if I can make a deal with them for a few over 30. If that works, then it'll still be on except we'll use the other restaurant on Pebble Beach, and everything else will remain the same. So tomorrow will be the deciding factor then.

 

Warren add me to the list. Will need 2 seats. Hate riding solo!

Warrwen, sorry for procrastinating so long. Went up to sign up w/ 2 but now see that it has been cancelled. Is there a PLan "B".

Hopefully there has not been anyone hurt and the homefront is calm and all ready for the new child.

 

Thanks, I am out of everything temporarily. Not posting the situation, but as to "Zachary", he should be on time. My wife saw the doctor yesterday, while I was with mine, and she was told everything is going excellent. So we be ready. Due date is Sep 2nd, but can now be anytime. I'm hoping everybody gets the word, a good kindly friend of mine is helping me out right now, trying to get the word out for me on the cancel of my run.
Will be future run, but not now.

Warren congratz on the upcoming new born, as for the meet being cancelled, I say we should still have something go on at least a cruise and something small to eat just to gather and talk, any recommendations?\
:Big Sur and Carmell Valley are still nice sight seeing roads to take pics and go for a drive??

 

As Warren posted above "He's out of everything for awhile" .. meaning (and this is from his personal communications with me) He won't be on the forums too much (if at all) nor any "enthusiast" activities until his situation gets better.

No doubt he'd agree that "something else" should go on. The same sentiments have been expressed at other forums .. but he won't/can't be involved. Someone else will have to "step-up" and plan or initiate it.

 

I was coming last minute to sign up too. Warren I hope everything is ok.
