Default Anyone seeing insurance rates go up?

Saw a SacBee story today that rates have fallen. Not for me though. Absolutely no changes to my driving record, and my Feb. renewal with Geico is almost $10 a month more than it has been for the last couple cycles (didn't change much if at all the last year or so). So I'm kinda confused now.

Yeah I just talked to an insurance rep today from Titan when I did an online quote at a few places to see what else was out there. She said that recently a lot of companies that were charging too high of a rate had to lower them, but Geico who I'm with may have been one of the ones actually charging too little and had to raise rates slightly to cover their claims. She said my current rate with them is really really good. I guess I can see that, since I can never find anyone cheaper when I do the online quotes.

I Had titan insurance for about 3 years, I never caused no accident and last year my rates went up $20 a month and I called and she said it was some new law that passed in 2010 that had to jack up rates, i said cool then im cancelling my policy and went with progressive now paying $40 less a month and have triple the coverage

Yeah I definitely would not have gone with them just for the fact that their website ignored the fact that I entered the number of years I'd been driving and gave me some insanely stupid rate (like 300 a month!). The lady had actually called me to get that info so she could give me a proper quote but even still it was higher than what I pay now. If they can't even get their simple little quote thing right, why should I feel comfortable that they'll provide decent service if I have a claim lol.
