Membership does have it’s benefits. In the past, members paid the same fees as non-mambers. It was almost “WTF?” Why be a member if there are no benefits to a ZONC event?

That said …. Your inquiry is an interesting one …

I understand the desire to save $10/car for your crew .. but if you're a member .. why not just enter yourself?

 

Nah, I dont feel like being there by myself. I dont really go to any of the events simply because they are out of the way, so other than Warren, I dont really know anybody.

 

I understand .. The Z.O.N.C. region is defined by: The Pacific Ocean (west); State of Oregon (north); State of Nevada (east) and the Counties of Monterey; Kings; Tulare and Inyo (south) is quite large.

The Annual Car Show is perhaps the only event that I'll travel to that involves any "driving" (so to speak) .. otherwise I too stick to events closer to home.

Regarding Warren .. I understand that he is organizing a caravan to the car show ..

Yes, I am putting together a group now leaving Salinas, then meeting at ZCG and we will all come up together. So hope to see you there and catch up on everything, and now that I'm back in good health will be doing more.

 

Any thoughts or interests in a after meet get together. Folks will also be showing up the night before, staying at the Local Hilton and leaving on the following Sunday. Saturday late afternoon and night do offer possibilities for a good get together. Good clubs and dinner spots

Unfortunately I'm just driving down that morning .. and leaving right after the show .. heading back to Sac.

Jessie I hope to see you, Alan and everybody else there. Think of it this way we are here in Salinas, Monterey, Santa Cruz, etc. I'm up by 5:00am but I love it. So we have a long cruise, but it's always fun cruising, especially after I let Rob play with my car first. He's the "Bomb"...top notch shop. That's my first cruise above, finally put one together, a little rusty, but practice always makes perfect.

2) Depart approx 7:00AM to meet the Sacramento caravan


Sacramento Caravan
1) Meet at the West Sac Chevron .. between 7:00-7:15AM
2) Depart approx 7:15A/7:30A to meet the Fairfield caravan

Fairfield Caravan
1) Meet (~8:15A) at Starbucks /5121 Business Center Dr # 108
2) Depart .. NLT 8:25A to Brisbane Marina (It takes a little over 1 hour to get to Brisbane Marina)
3) This will allow us approx 30 mins to prep cars before "judging" begins ..

If anybody is enroute .. please feel to join in at any of the locations. If you have a group let us know and we can make adjustments ..

If anyone plans to join us (even if not showing) .. post up so we know whom to watch for ..

Can everyone on the forum who attends where a name tag of their username? I'm not going to relate anyone at all.

Name tags? I usually wear a lanyard with my forum-name on it .. but I'm usually easy to spot. I drive a z31 .. LOL!
