Default Extended warranties? Yes or No?

OK .. I know most of you do your own work, some may not go to the dealership at all .. unless it's warranty work. What about after the OEM warranty runs out?

What's your opinion regarding extended warranties?

Not worth it .. because cost vs benefit?
Nissan workmanship .. means less likely to need the extended warranty?

I'm an old fart, and my old school thinking was that extended warranties were too costly .. but I'm wondering with the newere cars 2005 and newer?

I've had issues with two previous ext warranty's (used cars) and will never purchase one again!

Both claimed aftermarket parts caused the problem or where related which was BS. If you quote the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act to them they play dumb. If you fight them you'll have to go to arbitration which takes time and if you can't do without the car you're screwed!

Not worth it most dealerships will go out of there way not to honor the warranty and give you the run around. If you cant provide enough service maintenence on your vehicle they will not honor it. Happened to me with my previous vehicle . They said there wasnt enough to prove that I kept up with the service.
Long story short not worth it.
