Default Thank you note

Thanks to all that came out for the run, we had a great turnout of 24 cars ranging from 240Z, 300ZX, 350Z, G35, and eight 370Z’s. I met a lot of old friends and made some new friends.

Photos? Unfortunately my photos/video did not come out, I was experimenting with a new GoPro video along with a new in cabin headrest camera mount for my DSLR and none of the video came out, it switched over to camera still mode and shot off 9 million pictures, one every second and the camera was pointed down so none are keepers, a lot of pictures of the radio. The DSLR was too heavy for the camera mount and the camera kept sliding down. Hopefully I will have all the kinks worked out for the next run.

Anyone with photos / video feel to post them here on this thread or provide a link to your photos.

This run was a primer for the longer upcoming runs. Look for new threads started one month prior to the run date for the following events schedule:

May 21, Brunch Run – Winters, Lake Berryessa, Napa Valley

June 18, The Feather River Run – Oroville, Quincy, Truckee

July 16, Brunch Casino Run – Winters, Lake Berryessa, Clear Lake, Capay Valley, Cache Creek Casino

August 13, Summers End Run – Redwoods, Coast, Vineyards

September, date TBD, Ebbetts Pass Run – Hwy 4, Markleeville, S. Lake Tahoe

October 08, Harvest Run, Chico, Lake Almanor, Feather River Canyon, Oroville

Was the Smart car there again?
We missed you Jun, hopefully we will see you on next month’s Run. No Smart car this time just a dumb baby doe jumping over my front hood. If my GoPro was working right I would have had good video footage.

Thanks Jim and Cindy for those kind words. It takes a lot of work putting these Runs on, but in the end they are worth it.

Hey, if possible could you host your photos from PhotoBicket or Picasi so I can link the photos to the other forums? It's pretty easy setting up accounts and they are free to host your photos.

Pretty sure we are down for the Dry Run on June 25th to mix-up the route for the Brunch Casino Run. John might want to join us, it's right in his backyard.

Great photos Jim! I have not seen his video show up yet on the other forum, but will post the link here if it happens. He also had the Contour 1080P camcorder mounted under his rear view mirror for them **** shots.

EDIT ...oops I thought this was spider monkey... Naz' G35 Sedan whom you met on last years Summers End Run....still has the burned out brakes and needs tires, so he came in the Jetta. I do not limit the cars to Z, & G's. Anyone with a sports car or car enthusists can come along, who knows they may see how much fun we have and buy a Z or G. And Naz is privied because he has come on almost everyone one of my runs and is one cool dude.

Hope to see you on at least one this year!

Yep that is Josh' 370Z TT, and I heard he will be coming on the Feather River Run.

I did not even get a chance to see his beast up close nor hear it...too busy as always with the organization stuff.

Hal and I spoke after this run about what can be improved on...as always. And the area that slowed us down was the staging of the cars into their groups at Putah Creek Cafe. We are going to use colored coded dots and place them on the the REAR window so the person behind can see what group to line up behind. And I will be leaving and let Hal (tail gunner) to check and have them roll out in order.

Thanks John, that was a great suggestion the day of the run to help relieve the cluster fu.... of cars trying to do the musical chair bit.

You guys were lucky, I had very little time to chit chat, with map hand outs and constantly checking the patio for folks that sat out there, to bring them inside with the rest of us.

If you be so kind to edit out your previous ^ with the NON TOPIC discussion. This should really be in the Sac thread or open up a new thread. Thanks a bunch!

I will attempt to have some up on Sunday. I can't guarantee though as I would also be editing them Sunday because I'm busy tomorrow. If I don't get them by then, it may be well over a week before I get a chance as I'm moving the weekend of the 4th and will have to switch gears to hardcore packing mode in the next week.

I might get a start on them tonight though we'll see. I only took a couple dozen and maybe it's just me but it starts feeling like I'm just taking pictures of the same thing over and over lol.

It's all good Charles, I am usually the one to be late posting photos. I hear you on the over and over again. I tend to look for different angles or maybe focus in on one small aspect of one car (like lug nuts) or that fly on the windshield or the engine bay of a 370Z TT. I am sure you have some different angles on the same photo everyone has taken. Maybe a fisheye next time or purposely blur the background.

Good luck on the move!

Crap! We were in group two. They must of been scoping us out. Curtis, I'll post a link soon as I set up a photobucket for more photos. We really need to upgrade our camera! I'm the co-pilot, so it's my job to take good pics, and I totally suck at it, along with my navigational skills!

Ok, so maybe I'll have pics tomorrow. My busy day of detailing my Dad's truck tomorrow got pushed back to Sunday due to a chance of showers (sealant needs 12 hours to cure and can NOT get wet during that time). So if I don't end up with a hangover tomorrow I'll hit the photo-editing

They were out in force, my bro callled me on the cel as we made our left at the light and said there was another po-po following us parallel on another street. Then the infamous one on the side of the road, and another soon after moving in the opposite direction. That's a total of 4.

We all played it safe and no incidents.

Hal saw one on the side street that we were pulling out of the parking lot to also scoping us out, he said hurry up the locals are getting nervous. Thanks Jim on the photobucket account, I would like to share your photos on the other forums, they are hungry for photos. Hows this for the next run, you ride with me and use my camera and Michael M can ride with Cindy and take them professional shots....of my car...haha....and you will not get lost with me because if I am lost then no one else will know following the leader...haha

Agree, thanks Chai. I sported mine on the back window during the run and razzed you about but where's G35Driver stickers

You bet. It gave more room in the lot for ppl to move around and get in their assigned groups since group 1 was ready to roll.

Haha I saw that cop rollin in the parking lot...and I had to yank my son back in the G taking pix right when I saw that chipper on the side of the road. Placing bets the the local PD called ahead for that one

^ Nice pics Jim, much better. I selected a few to showcase.

Nice camera! Looks like we were just pulling out at Napa.

Now there is an angle I have not seen.

Nice Bossani

Sorry Naz, but you cannot have my new RE-11's

Now we have seen the picture from Chai' camera in foreground. I like these photos were you see a photo then the photo from within the photo.

Nice color combo of 370Z's. Hey there are chicks on this Run? And driving their own Z's...Props!

Ok John (Nismo) has rolling shots of the 370Z TT Amuse, I gotta see these.

Another one we have seen form Chai' camera. Nice!

Up close and personnel.

Nice park job ....Cindy! I think she is just a wee bit intimidated parking next to three 370Z's.

Now there is a mean bunch of 370Z's.

There she is again ...parked all cocked-eyed......j/k
