Catch y'all on the next outing.
BTW, we'll be having an STi along with us. For the guys who won't be making it, we're going to miss you, but if you find yourselves free, give Icy's driver (me) a call, and we can try to rendez-vous.

Mt. Diablo there was 7 350Z's & 1 STI.
Dave & Busters there was 5 350Z's , 1 STI, 1 240SX, 1 G35C
Damn, wish I still went to D&B to see that Roadster. Oh well. I got going from Mt. Diablo about 1-2 minutes after you guys but there was no catching up.
Anyways, planned to post up the pics before you guys got home but the board was dead, so here you go:

Nice to meet everyone and I'll see you next time minus the whistle

Great pictures! I will post mine as soon as I get the film developed and put on CD. It was nice meeting everyone and I did complete the ring by hitting SF before heading back to the east bay.
It was a great turnout! Thanks to everyone who showed up, and Lou, I may have been Ringleader, but you're the Lord of the Ring for being the only one to complete the ring!
At GGP, we had Big Al join us to wish us well. I think we'll all remember Shawn driving up all out of breath, glad as all hell that he didn't miss our departure. Then there was Lou realizing a little late that he could've gone to the bathroom when Ed had. But then, I imagine people would've asked if Z drivers always go to the bathroom together.
We passed by a couple of DBs on the way out of the Park. Jim led the way onto the Golden Gate Bridge. The weather was beautiful, despite a little bit of rain earlier, and we clearly stole the show (it helped that the S2K's were headed in the opposite direction from us). At one point in Marin County, we had one Z in each lane. We could've blocked off the freeway to create some racing space for the 4 lanes, but then a CHP showed up, and we were forced to be civil for a little bit.
Once we hit 116, the paced slowed down a bit, until we made the second left turn. Then it was hill country for a good mile or two, and we let it all out. Unfortunately, we had to merge into a different section, and a couple of us got stuck behind some bikers.
I'd planned to stop by a cafe along 116, but I clearly missed it. So we went on 29, and made a most fortuitous stop at Mini Drive, at the Chevron/McDonald's, where we refueled or stomachs on the cheap, and where Ed was able to cross the street to get supplies to do something about his whistling Fairlady. All in all, we were far ahead of schedule.
Jim, in the Z Roadster, dropped off at this point, and we were left with Sybertron, corsair, LouZer, 350zed, chadstafer, and myself. From there we made it onto 80, then 780, then 680, and climbed our way up Devil Mountain. This was Lou's home turf, so he led the way, and it was quite a spirited run that put a little fear into the rest of us. At one point, however, a Park Ranger slowed us down, and led us very, very slowly to the summit, where more than one Z driver feared that he might stall out.
At the summit, we were soon joined by Z-INCOGNITO, who overcame great fears to join us. As Henry put it, the greatest shock he received was when he told the gate guard that he was a little bit wary of high places. To which her response was, "Me too, that's why I work down here." Down here?!?!
About 10 minutes later after Henry overcame his fears, Kuonji, in the STi, joined us. He would've joined us for the beginning leg, but had left his wallet at home. As he put it, he'd started out thinking this was a nice, pleasant, slow ride. And as his arms started flailing about to keep his STi on the road, he realized why I'd chosen this run.
The run down was even better, and we chose a slightly longer, but less precipitous road, much to Henry's delight. Ed dropped off after about 2 miles, but the rest of us poured it on, tackling corner after corner. I thought I was holding the Scooby back, but as Kuonji later told me, he was trying to pay attention to the sharp corners. I knew there were some, that's why I used my brakes fairly liberally. Shawn stayed in neutral most of the time, which is not unlike what I'd done in the old Alty. Suffice it to say, this run was even more memorable than the hills of Sonoma.
Chad (in the DB) checked out after we got back on 680; the rest of us streaked toward Milpitas, taking some of the broader corners at an astounding 110mph (sorry, Henry). Poor Sybertron got stuck behind every single red light, but by going near triple digits, managed to catch up to us at D&B.
At D&B, Bobby and his employer made cameo appearances, as did bz8 in his "Z". Thanks, guys!
LouZer, Sybertron, Kuonji, corsair, and I headed toward Palo Alto. Along 237, we were passed by a Honda convoy, but we didn't care, we had the Fairladies. Even in Palo Alto, on University Avenue, filled with MB's and Audi's, our babies attraced plenty of attention. At one stop, a couple passed in front of Icy Z. The lady turned and stared and pointed. The gentleman tried not to look. I think I heard her say that he should pick himself up one of these.
Dinner at Miyake was very good; there were plenty of lookers, and the atmosphere, what with the blacklighted sake bombs, was nothing short of fun. And that was the last group destination of the ring.
Again, LouZer is Lord of the Ring for being the only one to complete it. I'll be posting pix as soon as I can upload them. Thanks again to everyone who came out, whether to run or to say hi. I can't wait until Hearst!

Sounds like fun guys. Sorry I missed it. Looks like you didn't have a SB in the pack either. I should have represented. Didnt get done with the party cleanup here until 2am, got to bed at 3am. Would have had to be on the road at 8am from Modesto to make it. Sorry again, will try to catch the next one.
Looks like you guys had fun. my350z board was down all day on Saturday and there's no way for me to get Bruce Cellphone number which was on my PM otherwise I would be meeting you guys up at D&B after work.
sounds like fun!! Mt. Diablo run is always nice!!
I'm gonna have to make it on one of your runs these days!!
Anyways, just chatting with KarmaMag last weekend and we're thinking about starting up the midnight runs again....
I'm sure Bruce and Jason fondly remembers these...

Hey, Great meeting all of you Z enthusiasts in GGP on Saturday!I'm sorry I had to leave early, but I had a Charity dinner at the Black Hawk Auto museum at 6:00 PM. That is worth visiting for sure! Nice tie in to the run up to Petaluma and cross country to Napa and Vallejo. Took 80 to San Pablo Dam Rd, then Camino Pablo to 24 just east of the tunnels, then 24 to 13 and home. Fun.
Saw Ed (LS) turning back onto 680 at Diablo Rd in Danville at about 4:45 PM, I must have just missed you guys!
It might be cool to get out early on a Sunday morning, seems to be less traffic then, and do a run on some twisties through the foothills. Like Redwood Rd in Oakland to Castro Valley Blvd, then east to E Castro Valley to Palomares to Niles Canyon to Vallecitos Rd to Livermore and have lunch at the Wente Winery.
Then....?

Dave, Kuonji (Chad) was actually there on "The Night", so he has fond memories too.
And yeah, midnight runs would be fun!
Jim, thanks again for coming out, and I like your idea! Care to organize?
