Default Modena sighting!

Okay, these things are rare, right? So anyway, I was in Berkeley today, and as I was walking back to the car (I was driving my friend's 325i), I spotted a yellow 360 parked on Durant in front of Top Dog (basically). Nice! Anyway, because they're rare, I kinda wonder if this is the same one that participated at D1 last year.

One of my other friends, who was there also, said he'd gotten to drive one once, but didn't like it much because the engine was too noisy for him (figures, since it's pretty much right behind the driver's head).

There's a silver 360 parked in my work garage every day Don't think they are that rare, especially here in Marin where I work. Lots of older folks putting around town in them The one in the D1 event was an Axis car I believe which is a So Cal. company. Doesn't mean that it wasn't that car but just saying it isn't likely.

about a month ago I saw a black enzo on foothill, turning left onto page mill in Palo Alto.
There is a Qvale down the street from my office fairly often. Nothing like the Enzo, but it is the only one I have seen outside of an auto show.

There is a silver Modena parked on the street quite often by my work. Also sometime you'll see a Galendenwagen (sp?) and a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Anyways the best cars are parked inside this building:

Fantasy Junction

THAT is a neat shop to visit. You're always wondering whats in the semi's that pull up filled with cars (an F40 once, many sweet classic cars.) They used to have a lot of Lancia rally cars as well, but I think they sold all of them.

Hrmm, true, they're not that rare. I think the one that dusted me about half a year ago on Highway 9 might've been one. Still, every time I see a yellow one, I think of D1.

And the Gallardo is only rare for now because it's still pretty new. It's in the same price range as the 360, I think. Anyway, try sighting a Murcielago.

One great "sighting" I had here on the east coast was at my gym, which happens to share a parking lot with an indoor euro-cart racing/entertainment complex. The place is pretty high end and the parking lot always has something to look at but one day last summer the area Ferrari club had a saturday afternoon of racing. The damn lot was a sea of red, yellow and blue Ferrari's. Probably 10 or more Modenas, a 550 Maranello, one F40 and (believe it or not) an F50 up on a flat bed transporter (open bed)! I spent about 15 minutes just walking through the parking lot. The F50 was larger than life and, upon detailed inspection, very genuine. Sightings of pricey exotics anywhere is pretty rare, unless you are looking in the right places...expensive shopping areas, computer/tech company parking lots, financial company parking garages in the reserved spots...etc

Saw a yellow Murcielago when they first came out. It drove past me on a street where i was standing waiting to turn. I froze and could not believe my eyes. It was beautiful!!!

Years and years ago I saw a F50 stopped right next to me on the right waiting for the light to turn green. I was like 15 years old but I could not believe the scenery. Thinking back about it now, it almost seems like God opened the heavens to shine light only upon the F50. I remember how everything else around me turned to black and just faded away.

Fast forward to Yesterday. I was driving home when I saw an old F40. Maybe this is out of disbelief, but it seemed like a replica or something. I know that the F40 is a classic car and surely I would tremble in its presence if I knew it was true, but what I saw yesterday seemed kinda ugly an unoriginal.

Aren't Lambos more limited in production than the Prancing Horses anyway? What're the figures like for Murcielagos?
