well, crap...

Looks like this group meet might flop.

Any of the local guys still interested in meeting up there one day, even if there are only a few of us?

I think the non group rate is $90.

zwindsor? fowlman01?

I am very interested. I would do it on my own, but think it would be nice if a group does it.

I'm with you guys. I too was going to do it regardless.

Is this place open on Saturday for general use or only for group sessions? I ask because I'm taking 3 Fridays off in April and can do it then if Saturday isn't an option.

Lemme try and get some info from Brad @ RPM. I'll try and call him today, but have been swamped at work. If anyone else gets the urge to call and get info, RPM's # is 707-584-8230

OK, I finally got a response from RPM about a smaller group. Anything less then 10 cars is at the standard price of $90 for 3 runs and reports. Any Saturday seems to be ok with them.

It certainly doesn't look like we'll get a group of 10 this month. Either we wait until May or we put together a small group of us local Sonoma/Marin guys.

So local guys what do you want to do? Wait or pick the 17th or the 24th and we'll just do it.

I am willing to just pick a date and go for it. Saturday is good. Either date for me.

Man I have been so busy with work and getting ready to move, I havn't had much time!

I never even got a response from Brad @ RPM on this... I guess it took Bill stoppin by the shop to get their attention!

I would be able to do something on the 17th ... but the 24th is moving day for me, so I'm booked. If you guys are down, I'm game too.

I'm going to let RPM know we'll take the 17th and see what his response is. So far it's just the 3 of us.

They will give us an Air/Fuel graph. That's all I know.

90 bucks.... damn

I got my car dynoed about 6 months ago and it was 75$ with out the a/f reading.. they did not set up a fan in front of the car and they did the runs right after each other. I mean not even 20 seconds and they were doing the next run..

I agree about the high cost but this is Sonoma Cty.

I asked him why they didn't use a fan and he said that unless the ambient temp is high or the car has CAI it really doesn't help get higher numbers.

I think we can get them to allow a longer cool down period between runs. I don't know what the standards are or if there are any.

this should be interesting. we all have very similar after market engine/exhaust set ups with me being the only 5AT.
RPM wanted $110.00 when I had them quote a price a couple of months ago, for just my car.

UPDATE!

Just talked to RPM. They are not open on Saturdays and he wants a minimum of 5 cars to make it worth his time for a Saturday. He also will not be able to accomodate any weekend functions until May. He will gladly take the 3 of us on a weekday.

This might be a good thing as there were others that wanted to come but were too busy this month anyway.

Fowlman01 & neur0sis:
I've got Friday the 16th and 23rd off. Anybody up for a Friday or do you want to wait?

I can be flexible. If it is during the week I need some notice, but I can swing a part of the day or the whole day as long as I have a few days notice.

Hey fowlman01,

Looks like I'm not going to have the time this month after all. Was going to suggest this Friday but can't do it now. Guess we'll try again in May.

Hi,
OK. When I was at the drags last Weds, there seemed to be some interest in it again. I will find out how many people I can round up and let you know if we can hit the magic number of 10 for some Saturday in May. The bulk of the cars may not be Z's, but if we can save a buck and do it on a Saturday I think it would be fine. What do you think? Walt

I'm still up for it. Doesn't matter to me what kind of cars we get. I think if we just set a date so people can plan ahead. Don't know what happened to neur0sis. Bill
