Default New to this forum, from Sacramento..

Hey guys! I am getting ready to sell my RSX-S turbo here in the next week, and I am going ot be buying a black Z.. I was going to shop at Elk Grove Nissan, and was wondering which model should I get? I plan on just getting bolt-ons for the car, and rims/suspension mods so should I get the 350Z Enthusiast? I want an LSD, but no not want to do the aftermarket one, so is the LSD worth it on the enthusiast model or should I just save money and go with the base?

Thanks all, and I should be around more now that I am getting one of these great cars!

This is my car below

Welcome! Nice RSX by the way. If I could do it all over again, I'd get the base to save some $ and go supercharger or turbo crazy. Not that I need to but I'd do it just because I could

Hi all.. Yeh, the RSX is laying down close to 270whp untuned, and 220wtq. The best time I could muster at the track was a 13.4 (because it is FWD) @ 106MPH. That at the Sac Raceway. Sac is a pretty slow track. I don't plan on turboing the Z. I just don't have time for all the mods.. Once I went turbo there was a ton of other stuff to watch out for, and fix almost on a daily basis. Once I went turbo it was like a neverending pile of things to do to my car just to get it to run the way I wanted it to. Right now my oil send line is busted so I am having to replace that before I sell.

As for the Z being my new drug, yeh.. My sis has a Z touring, and my mom has an S2000.. I got to drive them both while my car was out of commission this last week and WOW!!! The Z is head and shoulders above the S2000 in so many ways..

My RSX is pretty fast, but with the speed comes a 3" LOUD *** exhaust that drouns out my stereo under normal driving, turbo lag and spooling when I don't want it to (real touchy) causes me to use SO MUCH GAS! and kinda herky jerky in 1st gear. It is a t51 turbo (kinda small) so it spools sometimes too fast. That damn BOV is just killing me now.. Sure it is a cool noise when you hear one go by you, but DANG to sit in a car everyday that makes that noise when you shift, or just let off the gas is just horrendus! serious man.. LOL. I am so tired of that noise hahah.

If I could do it all over again, I would have not turboed the RSX.. I would have just ttraded it for the Z.. Very nice looking car..

Track model is a good deal, if you like the stock Rays (I do) and don't want to fork out the big $$$$ for a big break kit.

Where in Sacramento are you located?

What's up PyroPete. Welcome to the MY350Z forum! I live in South Natomas behind Arco Arena. Glad to see another fellow Sacramentan in the group. I frequent the Elk Grove area a lot so probably run into you one of these days. Lates.

Thanks guys.. That poker night sounds fun

I am a gambler hehehe.. I love it!

Yeh, I was probally going to go with some 19" Volks or something. Maybe 18"... So how does this car respond to bolt-ons? I have been reading up on it a little and it seems not to really respond well to boilt-ons.. Anyone hit 13s at sac raceway with minor mods?

Well maybe we could have a Sacramento meet one of these nights just to meet each other and hang out for a while. I'm in the Elk Grove area also, but I'll drive anywhere for a meet.

Ok, so far I know for sure my first 3 mods are going to be a pop charger (best bang for the buck), not sure on what kind of exhaust I am going to get.. Probally a quiet one.. Any ideas?

And then rims/tires, suspension/sway/strut bars and seats. anyone give me good brands on all of these?

Drive around with the stock exhaust for a while before you decide. It really sounds sweet, IMO.

I liked the deeper tone and look of the Nismo. It is a bit louder at cruising speeds, and definitely louder when you step on it.

When are you getting your Z?

You'll love the Z. I get exceited everytime I get into it and only gets better and better. We should have a "Sac" meet or something. Maybe everyone talk and come up with a shop that could do all of our work and offer a discount or something like that.
