Talking Oops!

I was on Lawrence around 11:15 and practicing my launches tonight. A Chrome Silver 350Z pulls up next to me just as I'm about to launch, so I launch anyway, but take notice of the other Z. At the next light, I look over to say "hi", and there's this girl in the passenger seat lookin' over. I can't figure out the look, so I figure I'd go back to practicing. So I rev my engine up, and decide to turn off VDC. Well I think I must've stepped just a little too hard or something, because by the time the light turned, not only was my tach at 3000-3500rpm, but the other Z was revving too. So the light turns, and I step on it. Now, as most of you know, 3000-3500rpm is a little above optimum launch revs.

So I spend 1-2 seconds just spinning my rear wheels before I even take off. Oops! I nearly died laughing at myself. Thought I'd share.

yobri, she was okay, nothing to write home to mom about. Pretty average I guess. But then, I didn't get a real good look.

Oh, I might mention that even while I was bogged down in wheel spin, the other guy never got more than half a length on me. Which meant he was probably spinning pretty badly too.

hungster, I find my best launches are at 2500rpm.
