Looks like shez moving to Hawaii
Today I convinced my wife, and myself that I cant bring myself to sell my car. Sometimes i think it wouldnt be that bad without a Z, but every time i punch the gas i change my mind. I will be out there in mid january. I am planning on buying a beater as my daily driver b/c i dont want to keep tacking miles on my Z.
I know there was a post before, but i couldnt find it and i have a few questions.
1. What is the legal tint limit? (i have 20%now and plan on scraping and retinting here.
2. Anyone in the military know if there is an import tax on bringing a second POV to hawaii?
3. I didnt really understand all the recon laws. I have a popcharger, tein stech springs, and 19" adr m-sports. Am i going to have to pass a recon, or will i just need a regular safety inspection?
thanks,
andy

1. 35% plus or minus 6% (to allow for test equipment differences)
2. Don't know
3. You will need recon because you have a modified suspension and bigger rims
Hope this helps and great choice on keeping the Z.

I'd say you could get away without recon. giving you don't press your luck by cruise through waikiki often (thats where all the ticket happy rookie cops are stationed). the rims aren't really a recon issue as they are only 1" bigger than what our stock options give which is within limits. the legal limit is 1.25" (or something stupid like that) over stock rim size. as far as the suspension, any change to the suspension that alters you ride hieght/performance is supposely a cause for recon, however at .75 I seriously doubt a normal cop would be able to tell. I mean if he stuck his head in the wheel-well and saw the green springs then he's got ya. but it'd have to be a really d!ckhead cop to do that.
