hey guys, I'm looking at getting a motordyne 5/16 iso thermal spacer for my Z for xmas. shhh...don't tell her. anyhow, the distributor I'm talking to (partsshipperdave of parts shipper) is giving me a bit of a discount (right now the spacers are all 8% off, but he's giving me an extra 2% off) and is willing to ship via fedex from motordyne in CA (usually they only use UPS and UPS shipping rates to HI suck). to the admins, I'm not try to sell products or anything. I just figure that I'd try to help out my fellow hawaii Z members since its a b!tch to get parts at a decent price shipped to HI. I got this deal via a my350z sponsor and I'm not making anything off of this so it should be cool...

 

also FYI, I'm going with the 5/16 iso thermal spacer because the 1/2 spacer requires you to get an aftermarket strut bar and it only gives you a 1-2 hp peak advantage over the 5/16. I also decided to get the iso thermal to help cope with heatsoak, especially with it being so hot all the time here. if you plan on having your Z in cold weather you may also want to consider the copper iso thermal. I've also thought about just getting an aftermarket plenum, however pretty much all of those require you to get an aftermarket strut bar and won't allow you to use the stock engine cover. hope this helps...

one more thing, I just taked to dave again and in regards to the shipping, the website doesn't offer any option other than UPS, so if you want the item shipped via Fedex (and yes fedex should be cheaper), then in the comments field of your order, type in the words "350z Hawaii". that will allow dave to identify your order as part of this deal, and he will make sure that the refund difference for the shipping will be credit back to your credit card.

I am looking to get the 5/16" spacer possibly in the next week or two so I guess that it is an X-Mas present for my Z. Also would like to pick the the UR crank pulley set as well.

 

Your making me envious. It realy sucks I have all my part here ready to go but they are waiting for the TT to get here. It seems like I have one of the most modded unmodded z here.

Grats on the spacers, seems like a good deal. Let me know how it does for you. Another good accompanyment to this is a good intake st up (for those who dont have it). You will see more noticeable gains.
