Ive been meaning to take a photo of it for a while. The first day I seen it, WTF!

some sort of protective dome over a weather tracker or air/sea radar...

 

Its a portion of the National missel defence system. Its in port for modifications before it goes off the coast of alaska. I think its an X-band tracking system, the dome is a weather protective covering thats invisible to radar (the woven fiber is wider than the band width). The thing is 280 feet tall. we've been calling it charley brown.
