Tun-ing-less-ness
so I'm not doing turbo anytime soon, I'm not going to be doing headers or much else in terms of bolt-on's so I guess its ECU/tuning time. the only problem is that I haven't heard anything good about any of the local shops thusfar as far as tuning. I've decided that I'm not doing a reflash unless some shop brings tadashi from technosquare or mike from aam down here to do the reflash themselves. there are just too many horror stories about having to do it multiple times and waste tons of money of dynos and shipping when do it by mail. my main concern is getting my a/f and timing dead on, while squeezing as much power out of my bolt-on's as possible. I like the price of the emanage blue, but I don't like the idea of splicing/cutting into the wiring (especially if a place doesn't have much experience on Z's). Do you still have the do that with the emanage ultimate? so I guess that leaves me with the UTEC which seems like the solve all option for most guys these days. I don't like the pricing, but it does seem to address most of the problems in a very user-friendly, plug and play way. the problem is that I don't think any shop here has any experience tuning the thing on a Z. not even WMR has tuned one on a Z and they're the hawaii distributor. does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? I realize that not many of the few shops we have here will have much to any time tuning Z's, but I figure I'd ask since there are at least a dozen (or is that wishful thinking) FI Z's here. thanks!

Sonics is damn knowlageable about the Z's and have wired many Emanage's up.
If you want I can give you their number.
EDIT: This is the rough set up before the solder and heat shrink
EDIT EDIT: The guy thats doing my turbo install has alot of experience. He does Sonics G35 that has PE kit. He's building a forged engine for the G. He use to be Hypersports builder but moved to sonics.

We have been working in conjunction with AEM in developing a plug and play AEM EMS kit for the 350Z. We are pleased to announce that we finally have the kit finished.
The kit will be completely plug and play. It will come with everything you need to get your car up and running!
Parts included are:
AEM EMS
AEM Map Sensor kit
AEM Air intake temp sensor kit
AEM Water temp sensor kit
AEM Wide Band Uego Gauge
SP-350 Wire Harness
Base Map
This setup will give you complete control of fuel and timing and we are currently working on the variable valve timing also.
The factory computer will remain to control the DBW, trac control.....etc.
I will have pricing together later today!

thanks rsky. why was this on the supra forums? anyhow, any reasons this would be better than the UTEC or EU? I'm leaning towards the EU since at least a few of the local tuners have experience with it vs any of the other options. I'll probably be doing this during the summer now that I want the mrev+.
