Spent all day at the hobby shop fabing up a bracket for my engine oil cooler. Silk and Andy Stoped by and saw first hand the pain in the @$$ I was dealing with. I ended up cutting the brackets by hand. Aircraft grade Aluminium is FUKCIN HARD!!!!. I went through the only cut off wheel there and 3, yes 3 hack saw blades.
The end result, the longest fuking oil change in my life thanks to MOCAL. The adapter they sent me had the wrong thread pitch on the female end. It wouldnt go on the foil fitting. How hard is it to say, "yep these are the same pitch, that should work" ?
The cooler was mounted on the braket, then I noticed it was a little loose. YEAH I ENDED UP SNAPING THAT MUTHFUKCIN BOLT IN 2!!!. So yeah 7 hour god damn oil change!!!

650 miles into break in....
Got my alignment finnaly after eating through my rear tires in less than 2 weeks. Ordered a set of Falken 295/30ZR18 Falken 452's for the rear. When the front needs replacing Im going 265 or 275 in front.
Doing some shake downs of little rattles here and there that are pissing me off.
The Clutch is finally breaking in, still squeaking though. It is definately REAL agressive almost too much so for the street. Its an off on thing that if you dont feather it just right you will stall it.
Starting to fine tune the suspention set up. Playing with the dampening alittle. As soon as I can Im gonna let acouple of mm out of the sring tension out back, that should be fine. The front sring rate is almost right where it needs to be. Looking at setting the sways Hard/Soft (F/R) on the sway bars. Its still kicking out more than I like to right now, that may be from the bald *** tires though. The alignment is -2 all arround.
So far she handles great and I have to realy shake the wheel and add the gas to get the *** end to break loose, even with the baldies. So thats fairly decent there. I'll be able to play more once I get the new tires on and I tont have to baby the tires as much.
Game plan for the tune.
Have a ZERO map. For when boost controler is off, it will use current spring pressure. Med boost setting that will be about 500whp or so, and a high boost of 600whp or so.

Rolled over 940 miles today at the cruise.
Remolded the A-pillar clip supports when I got back from the cruise, so now it wont dangle like it did before.
Finally got arround to cleaner her up on the out side as well, need to polish out the 11 months of water spots and clay her down. On her way to looking pretty again.
I should be tuned up after the 24th when Sonics is done prepairing for the car show.
More to come.

Yeah he told me he was building your motor. This fall he'll be building mine too. Bet your loving the power. I was content with my Vortech power but after going for a ride in his car and seeing it perform Im sold. Time to build!
