Well after long wait, my 3" exhaust has finaly come in. All I need now is the 3" down pipes to arrive and get an 02 bung welded on and Im in business.
This is the clean up portion of finishing up my project. Its a pain in the a$$. Gotta get this on, sell the old exhaust, put on the half shafts and the major mechanicals are done with for the exception of the brakes.
All thats left is alot of little elecrtical things and a few little clean up items for the engine bay.
So as for the APS exhaust, its built SOLID!!! The flanges are freakin thick as hell. The pipe wall itself is realy thick as well. The whole setup is verry sturdy. In one word SOLID. The exhaust it self has a 3" ID oposed to the SES's 2.5" OD so it will FLOW LIKE MAD!!!
I took a few pictures but most of exhaust is still wrapped up. I'll unwrap it all when the down pipes come. So until then here are a few teaser pics.

The thicker wall keeps more of the heat in the exhaust. The thin wall stuff heats up quick and prone to cracking welds.
Im leaving on the 29th for about a month.

I finished unwrapping the exhast today and Im simply AWESTRUCK at the freakin size of this thing.
Here is the piping all unwrapped:

The tips and resenator are simply HUGE. I mean the exhaust tip is so huge I can put my arm in it up to my elbow.

When I finished taking those pictures, there was a knock at the door... MY DOWN PIPES CAME IN A DAY EARLY!!! After seeing them in person Im so glad I went with the SGP pipes. The AAM is about 2.5 inches for about 6 or 7 inches then open up to the 3" pipe. The SGP's begine to open directly at the turbo flange and is a full 3" pipe in less than 2 inches.

All I need to get these on now is an O2 bung to get welded onto the passanger side down pipe and I will be in business.
EDIT: Pics were WAY too big. need to resize them and reload them. oops!
EIT EDIT: Hopefuly this is better..... NOPE STILL HUGE!!! DAMN IT
EDIT EDIT EDIT: FUGGIT PHOTOBUCKET IS NOT TAKING MY RESIZED PHOTOS...... So they are attached.

Yeah sorry about that, I was working with photo shop and photobucket to get the size down and its not going. I think it has to do with the server here. Since the original photos were loaded it stored that size so my resizing did not take. I will need to go in and rename the pics.
Im realy lazy right now so yeah not gonna happen.
Looking forward to getting the piping on. There realy isnt that many more bolts than the SES that I have now except for a the 4 bolt flang oposed to the 2 bolt ones on the SES. The big pain in the **** is going to be aligning it since I have the GTSPEC Chasis brace. It should clear.
Im thinking about wrapping it while Im at it. Wanna try and keep the temps down.

Good news, bad news, and worse news...
Good news: The old exhaust is off my car to include the pain in the a$$ down pipes. Those things SUCKED @SS to get off. It took me 10 times longer to get those 6 bolts off than it did to get the entire SES off the car.
Bad news: Due to unforseen delays with the chode infront of me that I had to wait on taking 2.5 hours to change his oil and oil filter in he Merc; I was not able to finish the car today so its still on the lift.
WORSE NEWS!!!! The numbering on the directions for part numbers and location of pipes is all jumbles and none of the pipes fit. After looking up the part numbers on the intrawebberthingy they transposed the left and right placement of the pipes. So the 70% of the pipe I was able to fit on the car needs to come off and swap sides.
Well my day starts over again at 9am with MORE exhaust alignment.
I forgot my cammera today but I will try and get pics of every thing tomorrow. Maybe even video and sound if Im lucky enough to have more free time. Looking at about another 2 hours or so (hopefuly).
Well yeah not so great of a wrenching day
