But what's there to be jealous about? You have a 5D... and L lenses.
But I did try out the flashes... and I think I'll be needing another flash along with my 580exII and 430ex. Need 2 to light the car on the side, and 1 on the backside to prevent the harsh shadows. BUT... now I know I need pocket wizards... even with the IR on the 580exII/430ex combo. But that'll mean another light stand and bracket.

i'll beat you. I'll buy my $60 holga and have a bad *** electrical tape job on it *grin* The developing cost alone over the course of the next 10 years should even it out!

The only time I'll probably have is a night shoot, and it's only good in parking garages. Too busy with work. If it's a night shoot, I'm open to suggestions.

I mainly got the flashes and flash stands/umbrellas for the sunset shots... backlit situations, like the ones I did at Nanakuli. The problem is one that is always struggled with, meter for the sky, and the car is dark... meter for the car, and the sky is blown out... hence the flash. Meter for the sky, and artificially light the car.
That being said... I think I'll need more reliable triggers, instead of using the unreliable IR triggering of the 580exII, to set off the other slave flashes... but we'll see. I need those slaves for fill light to get rid of the ugly shadows that are being cast by the main flash, since you can bounce it, and diffusing it with something like an Omni-bounce really cuts on the power of the flash.
New problem... how to set off those slaves reliably... meaning how does the fill flash fire when I press the shutter button.
Solution: use the IR on 580exII to trigger slaves: the 430ex, but again, the IR is unreliable and only can go a certain distance, more suitable for people portraits... OR save up for Pocket Wizards raido control.
New Problem: save $180 for each master/slave radio. One attatches to the camera, and the others for each other flash. DOH!
Here's what happens when you don't have fill light... ugly shadows!

The pic above would have been better if I had another strobe lighting the rear of the car facing the camera, and another in the other side of the rear, but further back to get rid of the shadows cast by the main (key) lights. But even then, the light looks too artificial, and I think bouncing the lights off of the umbrellas would have diffused them enough... but then another problem arises... strength of the light.
Well, it's all theory right now, just need another flash, another umbrella, another stand, another flash bracket, and 3 Pocket Wizards to test.

Compensated for the street tungsten lights by adjusting WB:
Image shot as JPEG, hence WB could not be adjusted with results I wanted... but still adjustable. The lights also were extemely warm.

For instance, take a shot under street lights, and you get that ugly orange hued light. Which would have been better if you set the white balance settings to "tungsten" to correct and cool the warm orange hue. But with RAW, you can manually adjust the WB to your liking. Cool it even more and the once orange hue becomes more white.
