carshow
Sorry to post so late...just needed to wind down. As dwayne said there are no words...this was so BS. We don't even know when, if, how our cars were judged. We never saw them come by, word was, they came by after the show closed on the 1st night and judged cars. How can that be when most of us locked our cars and put our display away for the next morning. How can you judge a car being locked and not on display...and show over?? Yesterday we was told that they walked around without clipboards and made decisions that way, we were told that the reason me and dwayne didn't place was because we weren't standing by our cars when they were judged???? okay when was that? after the it closed? in the morning before it opened? We were by our cars all day and night, never saw a judge, but did see them on the other side. We we went after them they left an never came back. Can we honestly say our cars were even looked at...the answer is NO! This show had no rules, no policies etc.
Props to Dwayne, his crew and the G35 next to me....they worked dam hard on the cars and looked sick...Hell, I don't even know who won the Nissan category, was it a nissan truck?, suv?, 4 door?, sport compact? Z...category was all rolled into one...just nissan. I dont know what he drove could have been any of the above. On a good note. my mastergrade Hood came in...and I did get it to close today with a little help called DREMEL...but no cutting...just triming the hood latch opening alittle wider and adjusting the latch. I'm with done...just in chill mode now. Thanks to Jim at showstoppers for getting hood to me on time!

If you lock the car when the judges come by they'll overlook the car. Also judging is based on mod list for the most part. In a nut shell the guy with the most parts or most custom things done to the car. 240s normally win for nissan class cause their cars costed 5g to buy and they can spend another 30 on mods. I used to work for the show.

If the car show was over at 11:00, our cars were going to be judged after hours... 12:00, 1:00, 4:00 in the morning, then I would like to have known that. It would have been my choice to lock it or leave it open. Then it would have been on me..if I didnt' get judged. The show ended at 11:00, you'd think judging too. Makes no sense to me. How can you read all the mod list when the car is locked up for the night. Natually we would have left them open if we knew our cars were subject to being judged after or before the show started....but we werent told anything. Kooool...Ima leave alone. I see now why you didn't enter your cars in this kinda crap. Thanks again for coming by.
Yeah the show has fallen quite bad. Trying to see if I can do something about it. Theres definately not enough communication. This is why first timers ussually do bad simply because they don't know the ropes yet. Also people aren't giving enough time in advanced for the show. Some people take months to build their cars and there really wasn't much advanced notice for the show. Theres a reason I didn't have a booth this year. Hopefully we can make next years show better for everyone not just the people that do it every year.
