Hey Everyone,
Been talking with Erwin about doing a photo shoot this Sunday (Weather permitting). He mentioned Peter was interested in doing one too, so I thought I'd just throw out the invite to everyone who wants to take some pictures of their car, have some taken, and hang out. We're both free all day (well I'm only free till about 6 PM) so I was thinking about maybe 2-6 or so?
So anyone interested let us know if that times good for you or you would prefer a different time, and throw out any suggestions on where would be a good spot (or spots pretty close together) to take some photos. Also if you're going to come can you post if you are going to be taking photos or just having photos taken so we can get a count on if we have enough photographers and time for everyone?

you know im always down for a photoshoot.....its long overdue...we hadnt had one since the photoshoot I posted....lots of new members since then....im free from 2 to 6.
I dont have a camara so I wanted pics taken.

I'm down. Been thinking about going to a Oahu Z cruise, but it's never on Sundays.

I don't want to be taking all the shots BTW.

I know most of you got cameras... so bring them along too.

If this weather persists though, we may have to wait for next week.

well im trying not to drive my car until the shoot because its still detailed from the show. + Erwin can't make next weeks cruise cuz hes only free on sundays. I think we're still going to try to meet this Sunday if the weather is good. 2-6, just need a place. There's some good spots on the ewa side that Erwin knows, dunno about whats good closer into town. Kakaako is nice for meet ups because of the parking but kinda shitty for pictures. I've shot on Waialae Iki ridge before. Saint Louis heights isnt very good. Maybe Punchbowl area?

 

Don't worry about the cruise. I've got that covered although I'm not a professional like Erwin and Mike. Yeah, if the weather is $hitty, then I'm not gonna go. If it's Ewa, I won't go cuz I still don't have a Safety check and my lights don't come in til Monday.

 

I can't make this one...gotta paper due by monday and the weather doesn't look like its gonna clear up by tomorrow.....

 

I'll post tomorrow morning regarding if the shoot is on or not and a final on the location.

What focal length do you mostly shoot your cars at? Debating if I should just bring the 50, or all of my lenses. If I can make it....

 

I can't speak for erwin but I the lenses I use the most in order are wideangle. 28-75. And telephoto. I rarely use the 50 because I rarely want that low aperature or not enough is in focus so the 28-75 is for versatle.

 

I'll pack all of my gear. It's pouring in PC right now so we'll see.

 

i dunno its bright and sunny out here in town right now, but after yesterday maybe we should pass and try for next weekend just in case. what do you all think?
