Just thought about you guys today and wanted to say hi to all the Oahu Z folks and Hawaii Forums members.
The Z is park for a while until the weather clears and I can get the shipping damages fixed. Yep shipping damages. I have $6500 in body and paint damage! Looks like some one threw an a$$ load of bolts and rocks at it.
The weather sucks big time. Today the wind chill is about -10 to -15 degrees and winds 30mph gusts to 50mph. Blizzard and wintery weather advisories in effect until tomorrow. I need to get a car cover when I can manage to get out.
So soak up some sun for me when you can. Take care, hope all of you are doing good.
Mike

Sup Mike! 6500.00, Now, I'm scared when I ship mine. I had over 2500 in damages to the body when it got here....I would've hoped shippin was better going back...guess not.
Sup Mike. I got my a$$ whipped with a storm during camping. Probably not as bad as the cold cold weather where you are. Keep warm. That really sucks a$$ that ur car got damaged. Is if for real that people r dic< like that or is it just **** happens?
Hey Mike, I've got a car cover from the dealer here that doesn't fit my car anymore (thanks nismo v2 wing) that i'd happily send your way but I think shipping would probably be as much as the cost for you to buy a new one. Hope the shipping company is covering all the damages for you man.

Yes the damage is covered 100%, its just getting the estimates done between snow storms thats the problem. Im looking for one more higher estimate and I will be set.
I will go out to one of the stealerships here or ebay it, its definately cheaper than shipping fron Hi to Ne.
EDIT: Oh I got another big green beast. Got rid of that Green 96 Jeep Cherokee and picked up a Green 97 Chevy Suburban 4X4. So the snow is fairly easy drive wise.

Man, that sucks to hear about all the damage to your car. Who did you ship it through? I'd like to get my 3rd gen RX7 out to HI at some point, but I'm terrified to ship. The body is perfect (and aluminum) and I put in quite a bit of money into having the whole car resprayed...
Anyways, try to stay warm. I'm originally from the snowbelt in NE Ohio. Nothing like getting 12+ inches over night. Have fun with 4 wheel drive. I always felt cheated if I didn't get to use mine.
