doesn't that come factory on the Nismo? If so, no...it should be considered and OEM part.

 

legally yes you do need recon for it, realistically probably not. I had it on for over a year and never got in trouble for it but I also have a safety check guy so I don't know if they'll give it to you or not. I do know if you have it don't try to get safety from a nissan dealer as they will no it's not stock on ur car. I was told straight up by them they would not give me safety with it on.
