Check with Military One Source, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

What your talking about is a program called "Opportunity Lift", run by MWR. I used it when I transferred from San Diego to Pearl. The Navy shipped my wifes car and I used Opportunity Lift to ship my 65 and 67 Mustangs for $25 per car (1996 prices). I delivered them to the 32nd St Nav Sta, they went via Gator Freighter, made it there in about a week, and delivered right to PH Nav Sta. The biggest catch about this program is the timing. You have to wait for an empty ship to be going your direction. I would start off by calling the base MWR. A couple of years later, going back to San Diego, nothing was available, and they didn't know when one would be. I had already sold the 67 and used Matson (same company the military uses) to ship the 65. It cost $800 to ship it to Los Angeles (1998 prices).

call JPSO, there is a specific office that handles those type of vehicle shippment. As I recall, they will ship a vehicle other than your authorized one for free depending upon when a ship was going out. As stated above you may get lucky and one goes to the mainland early within a day or so, or the car may sit there for awhile (weeks) waiting for a ship to go out. Just call, I did about year ago.
