Default What should I do?

Well I am going in next week to have a new engine put in by the dealership and thinking about getting a new clutch put in at the same time. Car has about 38k miles on it. So what do you think i should do wait and do it later, get a new oem clutch, or go with an aftermarket one? If an aftermarket one, which do you suggest that would be easy for the wife to handle?

get a aftermarket clutch, its alot easiar to use, especially in traffic, and it will save you money later on when you need to get a new clutch. and its the same price as oem ^_^ i bought the act clutch and lightwight flywheel combo when i replaced my clutch, it was the same price as a new oem clutch, and new city nissan installed ^_^

Yeah, I realize the car is low mileage. Just thinking about potential savings on labor since the engine will already be out.

Well good luck with yours. Yes I have an 06' but it will be going in for it's 4th new engine. It looks like it never ends for the oil problem haha.

No I'm taking it to New City Nissan near town. Lemon laws in Hawaii are only applicable for the first 2 years of ownership I'm pretty sure. So it is well past that.

I'd suggest you keep looking, there's more to the lemon law than just the local one, for the state.

My Z is from NC, and I was outside the window to use the NC lemon law, but still I'm on engine 3, and if this fails that's 3 strikes, and Nissan is Out. Might wanna look a little deeper. I had to get the BBB involved, btw.

What did the BBB do for you? Do you think Nissan headquarters would do anything about it?

Nissan tried to say that oil consumption was normal. then they went to say my problem was due to "customer abuse". they did everything they could to pass the buck, and not own up and look into the problem.

I called the BBB because I was getting the run around from Nissan Consumer Affairs, and when the BBB started their investigation, Nissan was quick to offer a new engine, am on #3 now, just waiting to fix a small leak, then I can get the oil consumption tested.

Oh ok. Well I have just been reading a little bit more about the lemon laws and I think I might just call the BBB tomorrow and see if I have any case for warranting a lemon or if I should just relax and enjoy the hassle free new engine.
