Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could provide me info for Sonic's? Just in case Munkywurks closes down, there'll be another shop I can go to when I return from this deployment. I heard Joe did his install and tune over there so I was wondering if anyone else recommended Sonic's also? Just wanted to give them a call and go over some things with them, great stuff at the recent show tho! Oahu Z is going strong!!

Nothing happened to Munky wurks. Sean and his shop is still there.

You've had first hand experience with Sean and his capabilities and you know Sonics delivered with Joe's setup. It all depends on what you're doing and what you want to accomplish. You should give them both a call and see what they can do for you.

I agree completely. It is worth talking to both and then deciding which shop is more likely to meet your goals/expectations. It doesn't mean either shop is better, just that different shops focus on different things. Some shops are better at tuning a specific type of standalone, diffent type of setup, etc. Know what I mean?

If you can wait until you are back here, it might be worth actually visiting both shops to see what the condition of the shop and their projects to get a feel for their work. It is also nice actually talking to guys at the shop in person to decide if you can trust them and what their experience is.

 

I agree with both of you, Sean's done wonders for just the tuning of my Z as AJ know's. I just was curious about Sonic's since joe had his setup done there. If anyone could chime in a number, that would be great, I'll probably go see Sonic's in person to see the shop layout once I return, the problem is getting a bigger car to fit the Z stuff into....

Sonics didn't do anything major for me. just installed my headers, and fixed a broken exhaust hangar. But they seemed pretty cool, and turnaround was good.

 

Hey, sup man! even though i'm no longer on Oahu, I recommend sonics. Seth and Robert took care of my Z as if it was their own, hell it might as well been since it been there so many times for one thing or another. Anyways, they fine tuned it perfectly. I wouldn't and didn't take my Z anywhere else the 4 years I had the Z on Island.
