Default What to do? hmmmm....

I can't decide which way I wanna go first...

Do I want wheels first? Or do I want F/I first?

I know which wheels I want, but I also know what turbo setup I want. I just can't decide which to pull the trigger on first...

I say wheels first. Actually, a drop first then wheels. Going F/I is a lot more complicated than getting wheels and tires. Good luck.

I'm lowered already, not much, about 1" front, and little over 1" rear.

I'd say build up your car first bro. Everyone wants to go boost eventually but you need everything else to tame that animal. No use having all that power and you end up in a light pole. Beef up your suspension, mechanical, brake system and most importantly your engine.

but for now...wheels man....WHEELS! haha!

At first I was thinking go F/I, but we are in Hawaii and there is no real use for it here. Get Rims....some sick rims, some sick aggressive rims that no one has yet ; ). Boost is fun, I wouldn't know but i'm sure it is, but like others mentioned there is so much more involved when boosting. Get rims!!!

This. An inch drop with some nice wheels will definitely make a huge difference. If you're on stock wheels right now, also consider getting spacers just to push those stockers out.

True... Not very practical on the island... But I may not be on the island too much longer...

Yeah, that's how I'm setup right now. about an inch drop, give or take a little, all around, with 25mm spacers on stock 06 wheels, rattle-canned black haha.

Here's my 2 pennies-

I would suggest to think of your end goal. If the turbo is just for kicks then it's up to you but if you plan to build the z to autocross or just dust fools on the freeway you should start from the ground up. The nismo suspension is good, maybe think of sway bars and bracing for the frame and then do a lot of research on the rims you want. If you want rims for performance or for looks, all depends. Overall though, as long as you do your research and know for sure what you wanna do, I'd say go for what will help you get to your goal best.

PS: not too sure about how much more gas is burnt with f/I but you might wanna think about gas prices too

Honestly, I don't have much of an end goal. The turbo is mostly just for kicks... I'm not into autocross or anything like that. Although I've read that turbo improves fuel economy...

Ok, I've been looking at the GT Spec braces for the body... and was considering sways as well, at some point.

Overall, I just wanna do something different with the Z...

I have to disagree with this statement. It's really about how you drive the car. I got into a lot more trouble when my G wasn't boosted. After that experience I had a lot more respect for the car and when I did get the snails I had no issues with the car.......stock suspension (although I did get some wider rubber & wheels).

Honestly David... Pay the car off first you'll have more money each month to put away for FI and Wheels. I paid my car off first and am glad I did cuz I hold the power to do what I want now.

But if you insist... Wheels. The car is fast as it is

Yup! It's no fun paying for a car that could be out on the sidelines due to a cracked block.

with that being said.. Aggressive Stance ftw!

A lot of this depends on what power goals you are setting, how it's tuned, and how you drive.

I had an '04 G35 with an APS TT and I went from 22 mpg average down to 21 mpg. Maybe 2/3 freeway 1/3 city.........you'd be very surprised to see how little time you actually spend in boost.
