Default few more...

the rest have to big of file sizes to post without destroying the clarity of the pics. the ones i posted are actually way sharper on my comp, but posting them up subtracts from the clarity and overall quality

i strapped the camera down with a tripod so that it was leaning up against the speakerr bar in between the seats, i just drove around with a 13 second shutter speed and my wireless shutter button taking pics while driving and that's how it comes out

Ya I was actually thinking of picking one up too. Not bad for a $600 camera. Anyone else using this camera?

The first picture is really soft in all aspects, you said you were using a 13 second shutter speed? You might want to try a little faster if you havent already . I'd say something around a 5 second shutter speed while driving would do it.

The other 2 are pretty good for the D40, decent DOF and quality. On the second one i'd go wide open on the aperature (lowest F stop) and focus on the front of the car while blurring the back, it'll look alot better.

i do...... i bought for $714 when it was release. came with d40, 18-55m, 2G sd card, and a lame camera case.

best buy have them on sale @ $749 or 779 i think. came with d40, 18-55mm, 55-200 tele lens and a case. i should have waited the 55-200mm lens by itself cost around $300. better get them

Nice pics! I've thought of doing the first one myself (actually tried while driving to orlando just by setting the cam down). The tripod or camera mount is a must for it to work.

Just curious, but are those wheels the +28's or the +20's?

Car looks real nice, by the way.

thanks for all the compliments guys! much appreciated

yeah i did try differant shutter speeds and the actual files on my computer are far faaaar sharper than posting them up here. im still trying to find a way to host the images and have them retain their quality because they're all very large files. the nightime driving pic is actually ver sharp and none of that noise and pixelation is visible. i do actually have some pics with the aperture set at the lowest f-stop and they did turn out pretty well, but i got tired of trying to shrink the files small enough to get them on here so i gave up haha
