Default Got some new toys for my XTI (no pics yet)

Just got an EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM wide angle and a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Zoom to compliment my rebel xti.... also got a couple of tiffen UV haze 1 filters for the stock lens and the zoom lens.... also got a wireless remote which is a MUST have. Also got an extra battery and a 4 gig CF card. Also got an external media card reader to make file transfers back and forth a lot faster. Also just got photoshop CS3 and photomatix.

Next on my list is:

a BG-E3 battery pack grip....

a better flash... not sure which one I'm gonna go with yet. With the wide angle the lens is too wide and puts a nasty black spot in the bottom center of the picture.... been planning on a better flash anyway because the stock flash is teh suck.

and a macro lens.... still undecided on this one as well.

I will have a little time this weekend to play with my new toys and maybe take a few pictures.

Flash? 580exII (Canon)... best for the $$$ and I think it still has the instant rebate. But you'll then need the off camera cord... another $80 Believe me, having placement control of your flash is as important as having a flash... then you'll need at least a 430ex as the 580exII can remote trigger the 430ex, letting you have even better flash pics with a 2nd light source... and don't forget light diffuser attachments for the flash. I know, I know. I've been through this myself recently. It's a snowball, getting bigger, and bigger. My 580exII, 430ex, and Canon of camera cord isn't complete yet... I still need goddamn light stands, reflectors/umbrellas.

Macro? EF-S 60mm ƒ2.8... samurai sword sharp.

After these, you'll be looking for a new body (40D)... believe me... I've treked the path.

... then you'll be drooling over fisheyes... and ballheads... and fancy tripods... and suction cups... and lightboxes... and super duper multi-coated filters... and 90deg viewfinder attachment thingy...

Good luck to your wallet. Modding a 350z and getting shots to show off the work is a ducket pit. Photography + 350z Mods = broke.

lol thanks for the feedback man....

more like for me.... photography + no Z mods = broke.

I was actually looking at that exact macro lens.... I think it's what I'm going to get...

...and I like that flash too.... I'll have to read a freakin book to learn how to use it to its potential though.....

I think I am going to stay with the smaller sensor for a long while until I get a handle on everything... probably wont go full frame for at least 3 or 4 years...

I managed to take a few pictures today while I still had some sunlight left... I think I like these lenses.... none of these pictures are spectacular but I was just goofing around getting a feel for the lenses....
