Default Volk Racing 2005 Limited Center Caps (Product Photography)

Tried out my hand at product photography again... Single 20W CFL bulb on cheapo 8" light dish from Lowe's at camera left- really close to the caps, with white cardboard over top, with glass on my folding stool. Total on lighting: >$10

i knew you'd come back from AZ with something new, but i figured it would be bigger then this.
The background was a piece of glass on top of a folding stool? Looks awesome. I need better backgrounds.

OP, do you have a high res picture of the last one? I'd like that as a wallpaper

1st looks good.

Car should be clean for these shots.

Position the wheels so that the font/lettering is right-side up. 2nd shot doesn't make any sense since you rotated the image to adjust for the lettering being upside down.

Actually, I got the caps sent here. I didn't buy anything for the car this time around, or any time soon as it's such a pain to travel heavy... and I'm broke so I couldn't buy anything.

I can make one for you... just PM me what size you want.

Should have made clear the first shot was the "product shot." But I do appreciate the criticism, especially from you, whose work I respect greatly.

The 2nd shot I thought was interesting to just turn it up-side down... but the shots of the caps on the car are just snaps to show them on the car. I knew that someone would write to "have the lettering the right side up." LOL. I really don't mind if the words or logo's are the right side up on wheels on car photos though... although I know of quite a few here who's mentioned it.

But yeah, the car shots weren't taken too seriously as the car is filthy.

Perfect example of being resourceful and getting a good shot without having to spend $$$ on expensive gear!

Nice job with the budget lighting, I really like the first shot.
