I've found that this page is great help in PS, especially for someone wanting to mess with car stuff. It shows how to change colors, do carbon fiber, add wheels, etc... It's great help. It might make a handy sticky.

Oh and I won't tell anyone that they can download Photoshop off of limewire, kazaa, etc.... because that would be wrong.
