that turbo car was making around 500whp to start with

so of course adding cams to it will have a larger gain with it than the other cars which are less powerful

the higher amount of flow would mean that the boost pressure would drop slightly.
The wastegate is trying to maintain what it's set at so it will let more air go into the engine instead of out the wastegate. This is common sense with a turbo setup, that some of the gains you're seeing aren't from the cams themselves, but also partly from the turbo's additional air

both GTM cams are winners IMO

BUT there is not doubt there is a really solid midrange boost and they work really well with my Greddy kit.

The reason the cams are not "loopey" as some cams are is because turbo cams have completely different dynamics than n/a cams. A aggressive set of N/A cams would have that "loopey" sound to it, but turbo cams would not since they are designed to overlap a certain amount to hold boost better, and also spool slightly quicker.

just curious, but what if someone made some REALLY aggressive loppy NA cams? I kinda like the loppy sound. Would it work well for a supercharger?

I suppose you'd trade low end for high end power though

We will be offering a set of more aggresive N/A cams in the near future. When we get them in we will see what the results are

Yea definitely worth getting. And if you are into low-key, no one would ever know you got the extra midrange power until you pull on them on the street...
Just keep in mind that tuning has a lot to do with how well the car runs and the evenness of the idle.

I swear my car runs like stock. Smooth power all the way through, it even idles like stock... Some people are very surprised to hear I even have a built engine it runs soo well.

If you are going to be around the Philly area next weekend (May 12th), swing by the Cenvention Center Saturday afternoon/evening. I will be showing the car for HIN and afterwards you can hear her purr as we leave the venue...

Good stuff from what we have seen. BamBam's stoker serious idled like 1000% stock....JKenefic was there and can confirm. My first reaction when we started up the stroker, was....WTF...did GTM send us a stock engine? It just didnt sound like a stroker. But after the first quick pull on the dyno, and the engine making 400whp+ at 3500rpm...I knew something nasty was lurking..hehe.

George I swear to god if I was a bit more psychotic about my money-spending habits I would've gotten these.

But I think I'll save them for my future motor build.

Awesome results.

PS - can I pay for the install of the HKS EVC 6 today via credit card?

Great results from the cams !!

But Im a little confused . The stock Vortech dyno clearly shows where timing was pulled and fuel added [ big dip in WHP and trq. ] just before 5000rpm's . It also shows the car made less than 300whp @ 6000 . The second dyno with a with 8.5 to 1 pistons clearly shows NO dip from timing being pulled and fuel added and made 50whp more than the stock compression motor . But you clearly state the tuning wasnt touched . Could you explain ?

Default super charger cam on stillen SC.

I just got my cams from Sam this week and his shipping to me in Canada was excellent. They came one day early.
They will be installed in my 2003 5AT in 3 weeks in a new stock block. We will dyno with and with out headers.
Car now make 302 RWHP on 9 lbs of boost, with headers running on 5 good cylinders. #2 only has 140 psig compresion.
The blower is ported, and we are removing the stillen box and running 6, 440 injecters on an emange ultimate with Sams new cam shafts.
Sam I will call you with the results.
Thanks for your help on the phone.
