I'd like to see footage of a launch with and without the brace if anyone could supply? Just curious how much it moves since the oem diff mount bushings are very easily torn.

The drag strips here are closed for the year, unfortunately. Such a request would be difficult to accommodate without a GoPro-type camera mounted underneath the car. You are correct that the OEM mount can be torn, and has on several members' cars, and this brace certainly helps redistribute some of the force of launching away from that mount.

Hey Dustin
Had to go to UPS today to pick mine up. I will take pics tonight if I can install it. Hopefully the braces don't come into contact. However, I did take a long look at the area where you install the brace and it seems like it will fit.

To all that has the GTSPEC REAR TIE BRACE.. Unfortunately this differential brace does not work with the rear tie brace.

well you could easily modify if you can weld, or know a shop that can.

We also received some very positive feedback this weekend from a local drag racer that recorded multiple passes (10+) with before and after results of only installing this diff brace and he shaved .2 off his 1/4 mile times. Not too shabby!

ya i shaved at least that much just by dropping my tires 2 psi LOL

But seriously, I musta installed mine wrong as i have about 60 passes without and then about 40 passes with with no statistical change in ET or trap.

http://www.drivelex.com/showthread.p...es-in-the-350Z

"New times in the 350Z

Ran a personal best last week in Tabitha's Z 13.37@ 105. Went back this weekend to London to back it up and try to improve. Here's the results.

Best
2.000 60ft
8.65@ 83 1/8th
13.34@ 105 1/4

Rest of the passes looked like this

13.36-105
13.38-105
13.39-105
13.40-105
13.43-104
13.43-105
13.44-105
13.49-105
13.51-105

Only change we have made is a subframe brace that Injected Performance sells to reduce wheelhop.
Best last year was 13.53@ 105 Average pass was 13.6-13.7 last year.

Mods-
K+N intakes
Cat delete's
JWT clutch/flywheel
Cobb AP tuner

Still on street tires and a open diff. LSD and DR's should do wonders for this car. "
