Default VQ35HR twin remote mount build

hey everyone! new to the 350z world. I recently picked up a 2008 nismo 350z. from what I researched the HR motor seemed to resolve a lot of problems recently found with the previous year Z builds. My buddy is a custom fabricator for a performance shop. I was looking to save some money on a budget twin turbo build. he recommended to me thinking about a remote mount set up. He seemed to think that the charge pipes travel that far from under the car would eliminate the need for buying an intercooler. plus over all he thinks that a remote mount set up would over all be cheaper because he said he would do the piping for me at a discount. he sent me a list of all the parts needed and with his discounted labor he seemed to think around $7500 (plus a tune) is that a good deal? thanks for any advice!!!

I'll be first!

first mistake is putting the words 'budget' and 'turbo' in the same sentence...You can save money in many many places - your turbos & turbo setup is not one of them.

eliminating an intercooler is foolish...if my fabricator told me I could replace my intercooler with addition duct-works piping I'd smile and slowly, very slowly ... walk away.

something tells me that you don't know much about turbo-charging cars (which is ok, everyone is a beginner at some point) ... if I was in your shoes, there's a stillen/vortech supercharger in the FS section that I would seriously consider buying before you go and reinvent the wheel with a rear/remote twin turbo setup...lol @ twin remote turbo setup!

$7500 is pretty steep for a piece-meal turbo setup...

you need to research more, more, more, more, and more...
look at what turbo & supercharger setups are available for the HR
read the book Maximum Boost by Corky Bell
reference the book Automotive Engine Management Systems by Jeff Hartman
read/review as many turbo and SC builds on this website

then start your build...
