Whats up guys? long story long i bought a turbo 350z last year with a bad rod bearing on the cheap (the guy said it used to "miss" above 4500 rpm so he would only go half throttle around those rpms...detonation, he couldnt even change his own brakes). Then i bought a house, the z we to the back burner. I was origionally going to do a light build but ended up with eagle rods, twin disc clutch, brand new crank, l19s, fluid dampr arp main studs, 570cc injectors, other misc items and a haltech(not the one compatible with the flex fuel sensor.) In trying to figure if i should use these ross pistons i that i bought a while back as they are 9.5 compression and have no dish(flat topmeans not much anti detonation) . The major toss up for me is that a few e85 stations opened up near me but if i were to make a small road trip with the car i would be searching for e85 all the time. Fyi the z will be a fair weather second vehicle for me. Im considering running an 8 or so gallon fuel cell in the spare tire area just for e85 and switching between the two (tuning nightmare i know). I for now have the dreaded turbonetics kit that is obviously terrible because of the single 2 inch hotside piping. My plan is to build an engine to support about 600hp, only run about 400 now and change to twin turbo later. My cash flow is not enough to do the twins as well as the rest of the engine build at the moment. Before i have the rotating assembly balanced i need to decide on pistons. I'm a decent fabricator after building a rail buggy so the fuel system will be a challange but definatly doable. (Yes i know ill need different injectors and such for e85) So the question is should i sell these and buy wiseco 8.8 ratio or not, what would you do?

I made over 600 with 9.5:1 on 91octane pump gas. higher compression FI builds are becoming more and more popular in recent years, run the 9.5:1 that's what I would suggest even if the thread was titled "what compression should I go with"
