What subwoofer are you recommending for $80?

And overall, are you impressed with the output from this space?

I've been concentrating on performance mods, but this sounds interesting.

I assume that I'd have to buy a new amp, is this correct?

Put me down for one too. Two other questions:

1) How much is shipping to zip 91108?
2) Do you sell any other subs that will fit? I'm looking at the IDQ 12.

Thanks!

any rattling issues with that set up in a coupe? seems like you might want to dynamat that area before putting a box in it.

BobbyRitz,
Yes you will need an amp.

beggohbee,
The enclosure is for a 10" right now, We will not be shipping any modified 12" boxes until we get to try one and see how much work it will be to modify it... Right now let's assume we do not have a 12" enclosure...
You can however choose to modify it, But if it does not turn out good, you are on your own Shipping to you should be around $30

Wongs,
I am suggeting the 10w1 for $79.95... It works pretty well in the enclosure... But you can use just about any sub that will have a max of 5.34" Mounting depth. 10w1 in this enclosure Sound pretty amazing, The 2 enclosure in there simulated almost a 12" sub sound.

hypeiv,
We dynamatted under the sub, where the subwoofer will be firing into the floor. Rattling was not an isse... In theroadster th eonly thing vibrated was the plasitic trim pieces right behind the 2 individual roll bars... We think we can stop this with some dynamatt behind those plastic pieces, We just did not have the time.

Keep in mind more dynamat you use the better everything will sound.

visionboy,
First 2 boxes we used had to have handlaid faces, I am getting the production model on monday tuesday, I will take full pics as soon as I get it...

Ordering process...

Once I have all th epics posted, Anyone who wants the enclosure will need to paypal us the funds... It will be first come first served... People posting in this thread will get first priority as soon as their payment is received...

You are welcome to make payment now, However product won't ship until the end of next week. More like May 1st.

Paypal address is paypal@wickedcas.com
PM me for shipping costs.

Whoops, I meant IDQ10 (mounting depth is 5.25"). I dont' want to modify the enclosure, I just wanted to know if you offer an alternative to the JL sub. I have about 300 watts available on 4ohms.

For that power and enclosure I would do the new JL W3V3 that was just released. It will handle the 300 watts and works AWESOME in small boxes

I also saw the W3, however the mounting depth is 5.93. Is there room in the box to put a spacer in or would you have to modify the box?

Naz, your my hero...

I'v been having this discussion with my boys that I build audio systems with and telling them that I want a drop top now and that I need to decide if i want a coupe with subs or a drop top and now you've made it possible to hav a drop top and subs. Great work. What will be the price on the group buy since I won't be able to jump in this bandwagon yet till i get my denero?

Will the Bose cover be necissary with this box, or can the solid non bose one be used? will that affect the sound either way?

No problem Nazar, it will rock and I am glad I am dealing with you as opposed to other shops or box stores. Any idea if the elemental design 10 in. sub will fit. Their site is not too specific in terms of mounting depth?

Are these specificly goign to be for 10's? If so any chance of having them cut to handle 2 12W1v2's? If not I may invest in my 1st 10" sub
