Default New Convertible / Coupe Sub Box Behind The Seats

OK NOW HERE IT GOES...

They will hold a JL Audio 10w1 Subwoofer,
OR MEMPHIS PR 10"
They will work with many other subs as long as they are within the JL's Specs... Size and volume wise.

Pictures below are NOT FINISHED product... SUB BOX IS NOW FINISHED AND HAVE MANY OUT THERE INSTALLED WITH GREAT RESULTS

THEY WILL HAVE A FACE MADE OUT OF FIBERGLASS. SO YOU WILL NOT SEE THE SUB. IT WILL BE A SEALED ENCLOSURE. IT WILL BOLT ON TO CUBBY HOLES BEHIND THE SEATS. THEY WILL SLIDE IN JUST LIKE THE FACTORY PLASTIC CONTAINERS DO.

Design is down firing and will be very effective in both the convertible and the Coupe...

Designed to fit in / replace where the stock Bose Subwoofer is..

You can buy them as ONE or in Pairs.

Remember this project is not Finished yet. But I wanted to take pictures and have you guys all pumped up.

Perfect for anyone looking to be stealth and still have some clean and powerfull bass. You can get one and install the amp on the other side, Or get both and have a heart pounding bass responce.

MORE PICS ADDED

10w6 WILL NOT fit. It has to be a shallow sub. 10W1 measures 4.34 Inch... And you have a bout a nother inch to go... So mounting DEPTH can not exceed 5.34"... At 5.34 You will have a bout 1/8" to spare... Keep in mind if you have a vent hole in the back of the sub it will need room to breathe.

There are plenty of subs out there that will work, Just not a 10w6v2.

The enclosure is approximately 1.0 Cubic Foot.

Hmmm

I am not sure how to answer this.

This box does replace the cubby behind the seat, Which in turn would be the same as Stock bose speaker location.

HAHAHA
I propably should have been a little more specific.

About an inch maybe a little more ... It is not an even surface under the sub so the space will vary, but atleast an inch and maybe as much as 2.5" in spots due to the slope and dips on the floor.

Two Questions:

Will the Eclipse Titanium or Allumninium 10" s fit ? Or Premier (Pioneer) 10" fit?

Can the stock bose grill fit over it?
(Reason I ask is if I install the Eclipse or Pioneer, I will place their logo over the Bose logo)

Hmm...so what's the maximum available mounting depth in this box? I currently have the under strut box but if I can hide the subs away that'd actually be nice to have trunk space.

Well the depth is above as mentioned before... 5.34" max...

So if the ED 12" is less then that depth it is possible however, What is the Volume requirements for that sub? I can have the sub modified for a 12" But I Do Not recommend it unless the space requirements for the sub is less then 1.0 Cu. Ft. For example we would have done it for the 12w1 but it requires 1.25 Cu ft... If you jam a 12" sub in a small space it will sound worse than a 10" in the right space.

Same for th eEclipse and or pioneer subs...

Please check the depth requirement on the subs mentioned and it will be a simple answer weather Yes or No.
