Im dropped on HKS Hipermax RS coilovers. I also lowered it slightly more than the settings they come out of the box.

Fenders are not rolled/shaved at the moment.....When I go GTS, Im am pretty sure that will be rolling/having the rear.

 

Just finished editing these pics, here you go. The 2 pics of the outside of the wheel facing the right is the rear. The 1 pic of the face of the wheel facing the left is the front.

 

How's that? More oversteer? handling is a little different? Any feedback on that particular 255/275 setup would be appreciated.

I'm thinking of staying 275 in the back and bumping the front from 245 to 255 as well.

Especially on the Toyo tires, the 275 sits perfectly on the lip of a 10.5 inch Volk. It's tapered but not stretched to hell.
On the other hand, the 245 is stretched about a quarter of an inch off the lip's edge on a 9.5 front wheel.

I think the 275's give ample enough traction, yet enough to slide the tail end when induced on a N/A Z.
Trying to stay away from the snap oversteer of a TOO beefy rear-end.

 

hmm.. My only question is I take very fast and sharp turn that turn into a drift. usually at night when I'm bored. I'm worried that 245/35/19 on a 19x9.5 and 275/35/19 on a 19x10.5 will give way and the lip will rub the street. I don't want to get 255 or 285 because I don't want to roll the fenders. My Z is not lowered will 255 and 285 rub?? on a non lowered car?? This is my deciding factor. I was thinking about getting toyo, Nitto Neogen or Falken . What do you guys think.

 

^^ what offsets do you have? If its somewhere in the mid-to-high 20s, you can likely get away without rubbing.

As far as tires, Toyos tend to run a bit narrow, and Falkens are EXTREMELY narrow. I don't know about Nittos. BFG's tend to run a bit on the chunky side.

 

(19x9.5 +30 F) - (19x10.5 +24 R) offsets!

 

oh man...

i'm getting GT-S's 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 with a +28 and +30 offset respectively. i'm getting them wrapped in toyo t1r's, 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear. i was also thinking about dropping the car about an inch or a little more on springs or coilovers (any recommendations?). would i have to roll the fenders if i lower the car? i really don't want to

 

Fronts are very likely okay. The rears may depend on your tire brand and your specific cars camber. But at stock height, I would think it should be fine.

As an example, I'm lowered on Hotchkis springs, and my rears are 19x10.5 +29 with a 5mm spacer, so my offset is similar to your setup (29 - 5 = +24 offset). With 275/35/19 (Toyo T1-R), I don't rub with the Hotchkis.

 

I think you're fine and won't have any rubbing issues. Look at my post above for my setup.

What kind of angle do you want? Are you trying to see my actual wheels or gauging size/offset?

That sits nice. Do you know what your alignment specs are? Did you need a camber kit or anything?

Thanks. The alignment specs are pretty close to stock. I don't know exactly what they are, but I believe the rear was just barely in spec, and the front was barely out of spec. I am not using a camber kit.

I am actually looking into possibly dropping it some more using coilovers or different springs!

 

and you didn't have to roll your fenders, that looks great.

 

Had PZero Rosso, 275, +22, stock height, no rub at all. (fenders not rolled)

Now PS2, 285, +22, stock height, rub like crazy. (fenders not rolled)

 

wuts the price difference between 245/35/19 275/35/19 and the 255/35/19 285/35/19 im going w/ the same setup and im stuck between the two sizes too.. i was initially just going to go 245/275 but i figured since im going to have my fenders rolled anyways i might as well go with the 255/285..

 

Im running 255/285 at stock height... I rub every now and then when I take a turn hard ... Still waiting on Cusco's which should be here in about a month or so... I love the traction when entering/exiting a turn - What I dont like is understeer...

 

2006 track/ grand touring 18x9.5 fronts, still running the stock potenza's no need to switch them out, but I was breaking traction in 1st and 2nd with the stock 265's in rear so I went up...

Old setup at the standard offset for the wheels, front remained, 245/35 or is it 40 for those, haven't been out to check tonight and have a little brain fade. Alas on the back, and it can be done without rolling the fenders, they fit perfectly, 305/30/19 Michelin PS2's on 19x10.5 rims. They look sexy to say the best, and man, you really get traction. My car isn't lowered at all. They fit no rub at all. They maintain the same dimensions other than the extra width of the tires. I'm really liking them.

 

To the original poster... go 255/285 or 295 or 305... LOL!

My setup, 245/35/19 and 295/30/19, rear rim 10.5 @+29, dropped 5/8" with rear camber at -1.5. Rear fender is trimmed.
