Default 5/16 motordyne spacer install

hey, Im about to install this in my car tomorrow.

Does anyone kno how long the install usually takes?

Also, are there any how-to's for the spacer install here? Ive searched but came up with nothing.

I know the kit comes with the instructions, but just wanted to see the install from someone else's point of view as well....dont want to screw anything up!

Thanks guys!

The instructions are complete. Just recognize the difference between inch/pounds and foot/pounds.

Heres a simple hint to keep the upper plenum out of your way while working:

Clip a small S-hook to the underside of the hood. Tie a cord about the upper plenum. Hook the cord to the S-hook.

The instructions for the gasket should be included.

It will be VERY obvious where to put the gasket once you take off the old plenum etc.

As for the CCV, you don't really need to install it. It requires cutting a hose. So if you're unsure what to do, just don't install it. It won't make any HP.

Make sure you have torque wrench. If you don't rent one from Autozone or something, and make sure it is inch-pounds. The CCV is an easy install once the intake tube. Didn't notice anything from it but I think it will be useful during the hot California summers.

The CCV is a quick install and depending on where you live (warmer climate will benefit from it), it might be worth it. To install the CCV -- cut the hose, insert the valve ends on each hose, tighten the clamps, and you're good go. Let us know how things go after the install and the quick drive to feel the "butt" dyno.

dont worry its very easy just take your time and go step by step. I just did mine today and i was quite worried too but if you have basic knowledge you'll do fine. once you get started it all falls to place.

Yes, you definitely need to make sure you place all the items that you've removed away from the engine bay. You don't want to drop anything in your motor! Place a table near your car where you can layout all the parts. Just take your time and enjoy this DIY project. It's definitely a worthy mod.
