Any form of turbo FI can blow a motor, it's all in the tune. I've got over 10K miles on my TN

Beating the sh*t out of the car will quickly put an end to a connecting rod with or without a good tune.

agreed, but . . . when we talk to the seller he just tells me he is a master mechanic and then i think i am supposed to bow or something. the car was NOT over revved on the way home. my friend that bought the car and i both knew there was not boost gauge or any sort of gauges for that matter, so he kept it under 5k. we ran a fast steady pace back home, i kept have to slow down because he did not want to run it too hard.. plans were to get it to jeremy that monday for utec and comb through it. well, he has combed through it now awesome job by the way. by the way he recommends everyone here run stock plugs on their FI setup, "lots of people do it, turbonetics does not require you change the plugs"

knowing the history of TN kits and Z's why would you buy a used Z with it, or with any FI kit on a stock motor, you are just asking for it.

as for the guy knowing it was bad, you really can't tell ahead of time a rod is going to fail 150 miles down the road come on.

did you do any compresison or leakdown??

don't put the blame on the seller the buyer should have known better or maybe was blinded by the price and thought he was getting a steal

He seemed like a nice guy the little I talked to him, just seems he was kind of given some bad advice about the car or something.

If the seller honestly and in good faith does not know of a certain detrimental factor of the vehicle he is not obligated to confer it, but this must be a reasonable mistake. edit: Judging by the fs thread a court will more than likely be able to find that enough information has been conferred, so full disclosure of the known defects of the car is required.

Also, because the sale of a boosted Z would be greater than $5000, the statute of frauds applies which means that if there is not a written contract for the sale of the vehicle, the sale was not enforceable and the buyer can reclaim his money. As you can see, for the most part, a wounded buyer can still collect damages, or complete reciscion of the deal under not only misrepresentation, fraud, not having an adequate writing, etc. If this happens to anybody, they first need to gather all of their documentation, then contact the seller, and if the buyer does not recieve the results he beleives is fair, he needs to find counsel and file a law suit.
